So, what is everyone’s hopes for season 3?

- Che gone!
- Aidan gone!
- Miranda to stop being a sap
- Sassy / drunk Charlotte to make more appearances
- Lisette to have more storylines
- Little kitten Shoe to survive
- Seema’s scarecrow hat to never see the light of day again!

The list could go on and on….

- No former love interests are allowed to return
- No storyline about the kids, we don't care
- What is the gross guy who did the podcast with Che called? He needs to get the duck off our screens

Jackie and his girlfriend “smoke”? 🫠 I think he wins the award for worst actor of the series but it’s a close call. What was the crochet hat about? Carrie Bradshaw would not be friends with someone who wore that hat. Period.

I cannot believe that Seema is a successful realtor boss in a cut throat industry. Such unconvincing acting and script. She’s a wet wipe and the smoking turns me 🤢 what’s with the cigar vape thingy 🫣

I do not care for Lisette, terrible dialogue, terrible acting however I was genuinely afraid she was about to be pounced on by predatory Che.

Che and Miranda reunited in the finger blasting crime scene. So glad they are done.

NO MORE CHE. PLEASE! For the love of god!!!!!

Too much naked Aidan. Way too much!

No bra Carrie! Who knew MPK was an avid tattle fan 🤣

The Anthony sex scene didn’t bother me but the closet snogging beside Carries manky old bras did. Do adults still do PDA’s like that? Felt so inappropriate, especially with LTW having an emotional moment next door.

LTW is a stunningly beautiful woman. The family just don’t work in the show.

The writing is practically non existent. Nothing happened. There’s no creativity here. It’s so bland and relying on nostalgia for a faint heartbeat. Put this thing out of its misery 🤦🏻‍♀️

Samatha cameo was dog tit. Fair play to Kim for getting a million dollars for a phone call, but it was total shite. No witty dialogue or snappy one liners. I don’t trust them with Samantha since the first movie so I’d rather they leave her alone.

Obsessive Carrie isn’t waiting 5 years for Aidan. Ridiculous.

Where are they going with season 3? Of course I’ll watch it but I’ll not be one bit happy about it 🤬

Love this thread 🥰

The gross podcast guy needs to go. Im actually scared to say this… but I like Che. She’s also much better without Miranda. This whole we were a car crash narrative has just been done to appease the fans who thought it was car crash. There was little evidence to show Che thought that prior to their break up.And yes bald person new girlfriend and Che have zero chemistry. I thought she would end up with Carries boring little project “you’re just like me in my 20s neighbour”, (no she’s not she’s just got curly hair) but oh my she’s dull that girl.

Love Charlotte, Harry, Naya, LTW & Miranda when she’s being fun/funny/career minded. Vet worker Che is likeable (rather than weed on the sofa/bedtime cameo recorder Che) Carrie and Aiden can get to duck, leaving Shoe & that nice apartment.

Not sure how anyone can enjoy watching Che - that character is so underdeveloped, we know nothing about them really other than the fact they’re non binary. And Irish? And self centred. That’s literally it!

To make season 3 actually good, they need to cut back the characters like 60%. The podcast guy and his wife? We never need to see them again.
LTW and her entire family - no one cares. They all move to DC and we never hear about them again.
Much less screen time for annoying kids - one of the best parts of the finale for S2 was no Rock or Lily!

I don’t mind Nya or Seema, but also feel like they would be good as side characters with less screen time.

Best new character

You seem just as self important as Che herself! We don’t know Seema or LTW or Naya background or even Samantha or Miranda’s to that extent either.

Their characters are underdeveloped in the same way! They’ve just been on screen that but longer and presented in a “normal way” We don’t know their ethnic history (we know Che’s Irish, yes but so what?!) but it’s not a problem. We know quite a bit about Che actually, she likes animals (a lot), she was married, she had quite a traditional upbringing etc, racy sex life etc. I don’t know this about Miranda for example - she’s a feisty lawyer who liked ugly men that was literally the depth of her character. Carrie’s lackey. Her mother died during one ep. That’s it! Same as Che if not less and Miranda is a central and main character. By your logic we should know her shoe size, favourite food, full upbringing & the street she grew up on owing to her decidedly feisty nature.

Looking past Che’s binary status ( this IS annoying but that’s a whole other conversation). The real issue is Che being front and centre a lot of the time and people not thinking her character and the actress isn’t worthy of it when in reality she’s just as good/annoying as all the others. She’s alot less irritating than homeboy faux homely big kid Aiden? What was his character development? He made things out of wood, liked countryside cabins and being cheated on?

Please! You’re seeing what you want to see. There’s nothing wrong with her character & it’s as developed or under developed as most of the other cast.

This is probsbly just me being weird but it gave me the ick when Toussaint the chef came back to Nyas and then said can I come in for food, she said why we’ve already eaten? And he was like ‘well I haven’t’ 🥴 oh you want me to feed you? Like a child? Bye hun

yeah it was a bit cheeky but by then so many other ridiculous things had happened I was just like, ok sure 🤷‍♀️

also he is so hot!

I do tend to agree with you that most if not all of the characters in AJLT are undeveloped - even old characters like Miranda - but that doesn’t negate the fact that Che in particular got A LOT of screen time and it feels like the only reason we’re meant to care about them is because they identify as non binary. It also doesn’t make sense that after Miranda and Che were no longer dating, that Carrie would continue to care about Che 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s just such lazy writing and attempting to shoehorn in characters for box ticking purposes. It sucks.
