I do tend to agree with you that most if not all of the characters in AJLT are undeveloped - even old characters like Miranda - but that doesn’t negate the fact that Che in particular got A LOT of screen time and it feels like the only reason we’re meant to care about them is because they identify as non binary. It also doesn’t make sense that after Miranda and Che were no longer dating, that Carrie would continue to care about Che 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s just such lazy writing and attempting to shoehorn in characters for box ticking purposes. It sucks.

Agree with this too. My least favourite part about Che is her non-binary this/that. It’s very boring (off putting to watch) and I thought it ironic she lost her show for being an unlikeable main character- hello Carrie. I digress, I just think she’s an ok character in it and not as offensive as everyone seems to find her. And yes all the characters are under developed because the show was just supposed to be about sexual navigation amongst friends in a big city.

Blow jobs one night, lunch, drinks & chit chat the next; it became more because that kind of lifestyle IS more for women and that’s why it became popular but in effect I don’t think the writers and producers could keep up with the momentum of such a intertwined complicated world of human relationships in the way people wanted or needed they did their best but hence the underdeveloped. They’re obviously trying to rectify that now and dig a little deeper. I don’t think ethnicity, upbringing etc was ever really discussed - perhaps that’s the issue or not as the case may be. The show can’t be all things…

No idea who Sara Ramirez is … 😉

I can’t imagine Carrie dealing with a litter tray every day either!
No way! Helpfully the kitten will also make her way into her shoes and bags and use them as a litter tray too 😂

I really fancied Aidan in SATC. What happened??!!! He’s completely lost his mannerisms. Is it just aging?
He just looks old and weedy now. Think he’s lost too much weight, noticed face and silly hairstyle to make up for his receding hairline!

I prefer the Charlotte morning hangover person where she put Harry in his place. They should keep her like this, less hyper and spitting facts.

I just switch off when Steve talks, it’s like having to run it through a brain interpreter and I can’t be arsed.

Che’s jokes were not funny, not because they were about Miranda, they just weren’t funny. And take your hands out of your pockets.

Carrie’s apartment is unrecognisable. I’m so glad I don’t get invited to dinner parties like that. Or even dinner parties in general. My one word would have been - taxi.

Samantha’s cameo🫤

Samantha should come back with a Scouse accent.

Nya’s storyline is the most promising, the others are just boring and should fade into the background.

I actually wish Miranda would leave completely, she irritates me more than Charlotte now.

Aidan has his priorities right. Carrie has a fantastic life and doesn’t need to be with him all the time.

BIGGEST NEWS - she read my post, she took off her brassiere when they bonked. Progress was made.

Still don’t like it but happy to keep moaning.

Jusr watching now and I agree, the first scene with Charlotte was actually decent. She did a good job with it. More of this!!

I know you just said you find it boring but after ranting about how much you like Che I feel the least you could do is use the appropriate pronouns 🤷‍♀️

Samantha found out it takes years to get a Birkin, Carrie found out it takes years to get an Aidan.

Imagine having to wait 5 years with “time off for good behaviour” for THAT version of Aidan!

Also what a weird way to script it, why couldn’t he say he couldn’t move to NYC but Carrie could see him on weekends. And what kind of able bodied 20 year old wants to spend most of his time with his dad. The whole thing is beyond weird. I could have written a better story arc than that though it would have involved quite a lot of character cuts. Some new characters can go to brunch etc in my show but they don’t get their scenes or storylines.

I felt there was something bad going to happen to Miranda in this scene too. When she hailed the taxi I wondered if it was a real taxi driver and whether she was about to be murdered by a serial killer. Then I remembered it’s AJLT not SVU and realised it was wishful thinking.
I thought she was going to fall down the steps running for the taxi and have to do BBC with a mashed up face

Carrie seems to like Seema more than Charlotte and Miranda. She has more in-depth conversations with her than the others. Am I remembering that correctly? If you were watching this for the first time you would not know that Charlotte and Miranda even know each other (apart from that ridiculous and shortlived "our kids are bleeping" storyline) and would think that Carrie and Seema were besties.

Is it because Charlotte and Miranda's screen time is eaten up by these secondary characters and there's no time for them to get together for brunch anymore?

Well that episode was completely underwhelming (although fair play to normal hands for bleeping over the witch that fucked him over twice putting his kids above Carrie).

It pissed me off that all of the characters still seemed to be set on being part of a couple. Nya achieving something amazing in her career but bemoaning that she doesn’t have a man. I did think that Miranda was going to end up finding herself and putting her focus back onto her career, oh no look here she is flirting with the British chick from last week.

The montage pissed me off. I don’t give a tit about seeing what any of the new characters do and nobody needed to see Anthony losing his arse cherry. I’m not sure what look the actor was aiming for but I’m sure bewildered terror wasn’t it.
I thought bewildered terror was what he was going for...as in he was hating it but doing it for love kind of thing. Did I pick that up wrong? It was either good acting, or such bad acting that I thought it was bewildered terro!!

The apartment Charlotte and Harry live in, is it still Trey's old apartment that Charlotte got in the divorce?

I only ask because (and this is beyond petty of me to have noticed!) I was watching a bit of the episode where H&G magazine were coming to photograph Charlotte and Trey- and I noticed the front door opens the other way to how it does in AJLT 😂😂 I think I'm just on hyper alert for the little continuity things haha!

Also, Seema is only waiting 5 months for whatever his name is to come back from Egypt, Carrie won't get a look in from her after that!
