Of all the things wrong with his show they just don't make enough references to the previous series. They could easily tie current stories in. I'm rewatching and Miranda says " my favourite thing to do is Steves laundry and iv never been happier". When she was leaving Steve she could have said " there was a time staying in and doing your laundry was enough...but now..." Something like that. At least it would be a nod to who they used to be.

Charlotte's acting is just terrible.

I like Che as a character now and want to see more of Che at the animal shelter. It feels like Che should have always been a friend they knew navigating life as a non-binary person trying to make it in the entertainment business rather than forcing some sort of homewrecking love affair with Miranda that was neither believable nor palatable.

Agreed. They have fucked it up so bad. The fact they are congratulating themselves about it all on a podcast- just no.
 
Wasn’t Scout in Manhattan? On Mulberry Street? Is it a franchise now, with one in Brooklyn? The writers are not paying attention to anything 🤦🏻‍♀️

As said upthread, they’ve turned Aidan into the village idiot.

Cathy was correct. I loathe Carrie. “The man I love”? There has been no build up to this, I can’t.

I did not need to see the bare bums in the teenagers bedroom. So unnecessary.

Seema is not Samantha. Her dialogue is crap, acting awful and that brown dress (which one?) was a disaster.

Charlotte is so shrieky and let’s face it - SATC Charlotte would never have approved of Brady and Lily. I think we know her better than the writers!

Miranda deserved the Nya storyline.

Wee glimmer of good old predatory Che thrown in 🤮

Couldn’t give a toot about LTW. Why did I think they lived in the same building as Charlotte and Harry? Never mind, I don’t care.

This show is absolute shite.
 
Aidan is a knob. "You diddin have to do that for meee" says the man who childishly refused to ride her in her own apartment for the past several months.
The new place looks great - it's her style. Must be absolute megabucks - a key to the park and all.
I read that the reason Nia is in this series less is because she was filming something else at the same time. I'm not enjoying her character this series - she seemed quite smart and interesting initially but now she's just another shrieking sex-obsessed twit.

I love on the Every Outfit podcast when they talk about how there should be a film of Magda the early years. I’d totally watch it

Magda is my favourite character out of the entire franchise, for a recurring character with so few lines she added so much to the series & I hate that they haven’t acknowledged her in some way in the show. The whole Che debacle & Brady’s rebellion would not have happened on her watch.
I love the final scenes in s6 where Miranda is bathing Steve’s mother and afterwards she says to Miranda “what you did, that is love, you love” & kisses her on the head 😭
 
That is totally lovely. I feel emotional about the time jump meaning we don’t have Stanford, Elizabeth Taylor, Nathan Lanes character has been killed off. It all just feels quite sad sometimes.

And Charlotte is unrecognisable. I think the actress is usually really good, but she has nothing to work with. Lily & Brady?? As if.
 
I’m largely enjoying it, although agree it isn’t as good as SATC. Is it just me who feels like they’re wrapping things up and that they know this is the final season? Surely Carrie can’t dump Aidan again and if that’s them together and happy…that’s the end of the show. That said, would happily watch a season 3.

At least if that does happen this thread can have a funny title, nothing else has happened today. I was disappointed by the snort screen time if the kittens

she’s gonna give the apartment to lisette the downstairs neighbor to rent and not sell it.

But unless there’s a big upset coming with Aidan. It feels like this might be it. And maybe the Samantha cameo is a special goodbye from a fan favorite. Again. Id be very happy to be proven wrong on this, cos I enjoy the show
