The actress who plays Nya, Karen Pittman, has a prominent role in the Morning Show on Apple TV with Reese W and Jennifer A. Which is actually really really good. Season 3 comes out in September so presuming she had been working on TMS.Aidan is a knob. "You diddin have to do that for meee" says the man who childishly refused to ride her in her own apartment for the past several months.
The new place looks great - it's her style. Must be absolute megabucks - a key to the park and all.
I read that the reason Nia is in this series less is because she was filming something else at the same time. I'm not enjoying her character this series - she seemed quite smart and interesting initially but now she's just another shrieking sex-obsessed twit.
It was so weird how Lisette specified that she sublets the apartment from ‘2 gay guys’. It’s like the show is trying so hard to be woke like ‘look we’re acknowledging gay people’ but by specifying their gay achieves the opposite, like it’s something unusual or noteworthy. She wouldn’t have said ‘I sublet from this straight couple’.Yes definitely, that was such clunky foreshadowing. Surprised she didn’t just give her the keys on the stoop there and then…
The way the other guy said to her "we do what we have to do to seal the deal" was so insulting - she should have told him to duck off for that insinuation.Where’s the romance gone? We didn’t seen any kind of courtship between Carrie & Aidan. One date after twenty years and suddenly they are full on and moving in together? We’ve not seen any deep conversations between them either, just Aidan’s incoherent mumbling about chickens…The same with Seema and the awful film guy, just straight into bed. It’s like they’re saying that over 50’s should be so grateful to get any attention they should just hop straight into bed. Could he not have asked her on a date? Are these people incapable of communicating..
I had the same thought re compensating Che for bleeping up her subletting thing. Aidan is minted and "a good tipper", Carrie is rotten with money too (although she's the type of rich person who gleefully refers to the price of things she's bought as exorbitant, like the blessed $56 garlic press) but they're both too self-absorbed to care that they've taken away a significant part of a less well-off friend's income stream.Aidan's pants eclipsed a lot of what was happening in the scene when the warning letter was delivered to Che's apartment by building management - but both Aidan's and carrie's reaction was so selfish. Che (who I also like more Not With Miranda) could get evicted, and Carrie is just lolz about Aidan just having to talk to people.
Why doesn't Carrie rent her old place to Che for a low rent to make up for ruining Che's Airbnb side hustle? Same as when Carrie just arrived at the animal clinic and assumed Che could
drop everything and go for lunch with her in a previous episode, because that's what people who are paid low wages to work on a front desk are able to do.
Carrie is the personification of one of those people we all know who have never, ever had a job waiting tables, retail,
etc - and they a bit unconsciously rude and demanding of people working in those types of jobs.
I agree, there is no character development, it’s really lazy writing. Carrie and Aidan don’t appear to have discussed or worked through anything. The apartment thing is ridiculous. When she said a lot of bad things happened here. Nobody was murdered (starting to think unfortunately) or anything. She treated him like tit and the relationship broke down. Nothing to do with the apartment and all about her behaviour.Where’s the romance gone? We didn’t seen any kind of courtship between Carrie & Aidan. Single Carrie is in a 4 bed, 3 bath apartment. Meanwhile, Charlotte’s two kids are sharing a bedroom…They... still might? I mean, they probably won't but it's just such uninspired writing to put her back with him. He's utterly boring and whatever dynamic they were hoping for between those two is just not there.
I wonder if she realises he'll be away a lot and she'll be alone in a gigantic four bathroom, three bedroom place. She'll be whining about it in no time.

Does Carrie still do her podcast? If so, does Che not work on it anymore? I’m sure that’s how they knew each other. Did I miss something from series 1?!!!
Carrie refused to do an advert for a vaginal dryness product, so the entire podcasting place shut down due to lack of funding.
Carrie now spends her time wearing curtain tassels and squealing around Manhattan ignoring the poors.
Lazy attempt at an Easter egg I'd sayCarrie sitting down with Kathy, did anyone else think it was reminiscent of Carrie sitting down with Big’s first wife. When she tried to play it off as presenting a children’s book of little Cathy with the magic cigarettes?
Is it an Easter egg, or lazy writing?
