And she is literally loaded, why doesn't she just buy somewhere else rather than a badly furnished apartment? I think if I was seeing someone I was with decades ago and they still hadn't go over me cheating to the extent they couldn't be in mynapartment I would be worried they "maybe" still weren't over me cheating. Don't even get me started on the whole thing about discussing the pepper grinder and the price of the garlic crusher or whatever was just so weird

I thought that the £50 garlic crusher line was pretty distasteful tbh, when we’re in a cost of living crisis and people are struggling to pay their bills. I know these characters have always had unattainable lives but there was a point when Carrie had £700 in her savings account because she had wasted all her money on shoes. Now she’s just an incredibly rich widow who pisses away her time having bra-on sex with her ex around Manhattan. Bleh.

I get why she said she’d never go nude but could she not just wear a strapless bra and pretend under the sheets? I feel uncomfortable just watching her and it’s not realistic at all. Let’s face it, it’s the first thing we chuck off in relief when we get home and mine are like two aspirin on an ironing board compared to hers.
True yes. . And with the sex thing - who the hell has sex in their bra?!! She could’ve had boob cover things on. Her scenes were the most unrealistic of them all. And what was with the underpants thing back then?

Also making Aidan the reason Carrie gives up her apartment has given me the ick even more than the jacket.

It’s exactly how it was the first time around, expecting her to alter her life for him, and never the other way around.

She’ll be eating KFC in her underwear if someone doesn’t intervene.

I was half expecting a morally indignant Aiden to say, "I can't date someone who's friends with a smoker," if Seema lit up in plain sight 😁

I just find Carrie and Aiden's behaviour so regressive to the point that the writers must be slapping themselves on the back for being so right on. The only thing that seemed realistic was Carrie checking that Aiden wasn't poor didn't live in a place like his Suffern shack.

Bra-on sex! Don’t know why that made me laugh so much. 😳😆

So much this! She never would have ended up with aiden over big as she wanted someone extremely wealthy. I hope Carrie starts smoking again 🤣

There was a clip from the girls on Oprah back in the day where she asked their most embarrassing scenes.

SJP said the fart scene, everyone else had much more risqué scenes to discuss. They let her off EASY with a fart.

Watching that scene again in my 30s I cannot believe how childish she was about it, if you're having sex with someone there are lots of things that can be "embarassing" in thag sense, as an adult you get over it. Just seemed so immature

Only just catching up with the last episode.

Che is now more tolerable yes, but also pointless. LTW- pointless. The prof who wasn't even in this one- pointless.

Charlotte going back to work had the potential to be a really good storyline, but once again she's been given something ridiculous. We've had tampons, condoms, jizz, and now they've reduced her to caring about nothing except how she looks. Just buy another dress ffs it wasn't even nice! And I'm not easily offended at all but I just thought her deciding to bin the spanx just because she saw her new colleague was of a larger build was in such poor taste. I really hope they explore her return to work more in the next episodes and give her some more substantial stories.

I can't stand Carrie and Aiden together, they both give me the ick. Don't even get me started on her saying Big was a mistake WTAF.

Why have they made Miranda so socially inept? There is no way old Miranda would have taken any tit from some snotty interns, she'd have rolled her eyes or come out with some snappy one-liners to show them who's boss. In fact they've made all 3 of the original characters seem really feeble and out of touch with the world, it's as if they've been trapped in a cave since SATC ended. Is this supposed to represent what the writers think all 50 year olds are like?

The only person I enjoyed this episode was Anthony. Seema had potential but is also now a bit pointless.

I swear Richard Burton's one of the best actors there  I love his facial expressions

He will look like this once Charlotte brings him to her surgeon.

She does have Big money, but she’s also a successful author in her own right, by season 6 she was doing pretty well for herself. And her finances weren’t ever really realistic, like she survived on writing one column a week.

And getting offended over the price of a garlic crusher in a fictional show? Did I stumble onto Mumsnet?

The garlic crusher thing was just dull, the finances of Carrie never made sense but ay least it was fun, expensive shoes, dinners.etc. no one finds it entertaining to watch someone rambling on about a 50 dollar garlic crush with their cringe "new" boyfriend

Chill out Michael Patrick King, did I say I was offended? I said it was distasteful. The whole point of thread is to critique the show and the writing 🙄
