I haven’t watched the episode yet but as others have said feel annoyed that they’re dragging up the past for the sake of it and disregarding the whole plot (kinda like the whole of AJLT!)

I always thought Carrie knew she wasn’t good enough for Aidan. She cheated on him, she knew she was meant to be with Big and couldn’t leave him alone. Aidan was the nice guy, they always made a thing about him being so massive compared to tiny Carrie. She’d sleep in his shoulder nook and rub his tummy. He was like her protector, he forgave her for so much (cheating, but also losing the dog on the street, failing at giving up smoking immediately). He was innocent, didn’t treat her like a sexual object, they were comfortable around each other (fried chicken in bed) but she always wanted more, something with that was confusing, and something more tumultuous. Then Aidan ended up married with cute babies which Carrie never wanted.

They should have left it alone, it’s irritating that she now suddenly regrets Big after the entire main show and movies were about them trying to end up together.
The thing that was sooo great about SATC is the way they portrayed childfree by choice women :) It was so progressive at that time!

Thoughts on E9 promo

Carrie's ready to sell her apartment  she'd be a dumbass if Aiden is the catalyst, but Carrie is not known for using her brain in decision-making.

Charlotte suggests Lily visits Brady. Ruh-roh! What could possibly go wrong between the protege and the malfunctioning sex robot? We know this is bullshit, because in real life, Charlotte would be doing everything in her power to keep Lily away from Brady; she'd want her daughter mixing in her private school, Park Avenue circles. It only cements my total apathy towards the AJLT kids.

LTW and her husband walking into a room of applause. I don't care for either of them, and I won't respond to it /Lucille Bluth.

Aiden's ex-wife Cathy wants to meet Carrie for coffee. I'd like to think it's so they can bond over Aiden being a scrote.

The trailer alludes to Seema having sex with a client during a viewing, I don't care, we've seen it done with Samantha in SATC. Seema isn't our Sammy Jo.

I’m so so glad that Seema gets majority air time in this clip. I really love her character and I hope that this gives us some of that tigress flavour that’s so missing from the show seeing as Samantha isn’t there anymore.

I’m 900000% more invested in her character and relationships than Carrie’s arse gravy with straw chewing yokel Aiden.

It's insane that an adult with so much life experience is still basing her major life choices Ln snap decisions with men. I am 36 and look back on satc and wonder about her decisions, looking at someone who now is supposed to be in their 50s doing the same is insane
If is crackers to a degree.
I was in my 20s when I watched SATC. I'm now 50. I've obsessed about things as much as the best of them but that's tailed off, more so in the last 5 years. However Ive been in a relationship for 29 years, have no idea what I'd be like if I hadn't and I think we all still feel like we are not old, despite our age? What I'm trying to say badly, is that despite age and experience, a recently widowed me might also be a Fkg nightmare.

Caption is spot on 😂

Brilliant!

Why is Carrie wearing Nanna’s 70s dressing gown to walk down the street?
---
There’s a writers room podcast for AJLT and apparently each series takes us through the seasons of the year and it’s supposed to represent the seasons of the women’s lives or something. Like it was Halloween, then Winter and now we’re entering spring. It was Valentine’s Day last week. I hadn’t really recognised how big the gaps in time are between episodes
I downloaded a few of the writers room podcast to listen to on a long journey. . They are SO pleased with themselves with all the series and daddy MPK is over the moon with the whole thing. He thinks all his decisions are just wonderful’ AJLT is like the ugly baby with a face that only it’s creators can love

The more I hear about that pod the more I hate the show. I’m going to agree with whoever said earlier the every outfit pod recap is very good and also enjoy the one by drop your buffs or something similar. It has one guy who loves satc and one that hasn’t watched more than three eps. It’s so good from seeing it from both sides (both agree with the majority of us and not MPK)

duck OFF CARRIE.

The way she said Big was a mistake and Aiden hugged her for saying it - massive red flags for both of them. She's trying to convince herself and then trying to convince him, but you don't just write off the man you chose for years of marriage for a man you didn't even want to marry. That wasn't a mistake, it was her choice and she needs to own that.

Her hair is bothering me too. It's too flat at the top.

Yeah she’s seriously re writing history there. She couldn’t stand to wear aidens engagement ring or try on a wedding dress, and went back to sleeping with Big. Big was perfect for Carrie. And Aiden wanted the more country life and children which he got. He was always trying to change Carrie and make her less glamorous and more what he was after. They got what they both wanted and now they could be together and happy as the people they are now. But I do think it’s heading for trouble with the way it’s going to perfectly. Will be interesting if next week is in Virginia and we see Aiden the way he has been for the last 20 years and if Carrie still likes him. I would love them to end up together, without all this regret stuff.
how beautiful is the Italian guy omg!

I’ve been enjoying s2 more than s1 (especially around ep 3 ish I thought it was actually…. Quite good!) but this last episode or two, I’m sorry. I can’t. (Don’t hate me…)

While it is a very Carrie thing to do to totally try and rewrite her own narrative to suit whatever she wants to do, it doesn’t sit right. Also at the end of episode 6 (?) after she and Aidan had the date and he had his PTSD reaction to her apartment so they went to a hotel…. She said something like “and just like that we were on the same page.”

NO. YOU’RE NOWHERE NEAR THE SAME PAGE IF YOUR ONE TRUE LOVE (let’s forget the dead guy) CANT EVEN GO INSIDE YOUR APARTMENT.

I personally feel she should either be happy alone/dating or find a new sexy hot man and not rehash the Aidan thing but…. I guess Carrie does what Carrie wants.

I actually felt quite hopeful for a couple of episodes but really haven’t enjoyed the last 2 so I don’t know. 🤷‍♀️

I reckon she’s gonna get a wake up call when she meets his boys…! And hopefully Pete the spaniels grand puppies will do a dirty protest 💩 on the Virginia house stoop😂

I’m waiting for them both to realise that it wasn’t her apartment that caused all the drama but Carrie herself and that if he has such a visceral reaction to a building he clearly hasn’t worked through his negative feelings for her.

Of course neither of them are going to actually process this situation in a healthy mature way. Whatever the outcome you can be sure that it will be dealt with in an immature typical Carrie way.

Have Sunday times writers been reading (and/or posting) here? Aidan ick is a THING
