The conversation between miranda and carrie after the lunch or whatever was so clunky, throwing in things like that meditation retreat etc just sounds so unnatural and such a lazy plot device. At this point xharlotte just reminds me of the comedy light relief characters thry have in all of Shakespeares tragedies, she could be written out and u wouldn't notice

Agree with all this.
I just watched it this weeks thinking what’s the point in all this, I’m not even getting any of the nostalgic vibes.

Che and Miranda’s characters are both much better now they’re not in a relationship, but still AJLT Miranda still ain’t got nothing on SATC Miranda. I glaze over during Charlotte’s scenes. Carrie and Aidan give me the ick and I don’t care for any of the new characters. The story lines are weak and often short lived and flitting.
 
So I was just thinking, the past 2 eps ( which have been the best of the bad bunch ) was directed or produced ( can’t remember which one!) by Cynthia and they certainly FELT more SATC , this week back to whoever anddddd it’s tit again, also did the Carrie and the ‘ mistake ‘ bit give anyone the horrific cringe flashback of the ‘ you have to forgive me ‘ scene - actual ick .

Definitely agree about aiden and Carrie 🤢 I almost miss the hate watch that was CHE DIAZ for how boring this weeks was. As usual Carrie is totally self absorbed and cannot understand why someone who doesn't want to be single would not want to third wheel as her friend and sort of new boyfriend are all over each other

Directed and she did such a good job.

I think all of the girls and MPK executive produce the series, SJP probably has more say as she did with the original series…

The way she said Big was a mistake and Aiden hugged her for saying it - massive red flags for both of them. She's trying to convince herself and then trying to convince him, but you don't just write off the man you chose for years of marriage for a man you didn't even want to marry. That wasn't a mistake, it was her choice and she needs to own that.

Anyway, i cannot CANNOT cope with this “Big mistake” thing.
Like someone said, we had 6 ducking series of leading up to them getting back together. All the tit and the bad men choices (Petrovsky, Berger etc) My god its like theyre taking the piss out if us. Most of us have watched SATC several times thru. I ‘get’ it all more now than i did when i was younger.
We have had no real Aiden/Carrie chat just the ridiculous cousins thing back and forwards to Che’s shagpad.
No. Its wrong. Big was her great love.

And she is literally loaded, why doesn't she just buy somewhere else rather than a badly furnished apartment? I think if I was seeing someone I was with decades ago and they still hadn't go over me cheating to the extent they couldn't be in mynapartment I would be worried they "maybe" still weren't over me cheating. Don't even get me started on the whole thing about discussing the pepper grinder and the price of the garlic crusher or whatever was just so weird
 
Aidan and Carrie might fancy each other but they have nothing in common and are not willing to compromise on things.

However, I know someone who went on a 1st date with someone and slated them afterwards. When he begged for another date she told him there were some things about him she didn’t like so he agreed to change and she decided he was amazing if he was willing to change who he is for her. They are now married with 2 kids so maybe that’s what desperation true love is 🤷🏼‍♀️
