In the original run it was JFK Junior, then they changed it to Leo. So weird
I never really understood the ending of that particular episode, although Sam saying that the socialite's husband had a 'flabby preppy ass' or suchlike was hilarious.
---
I LOVE him! He's genuinely a wee hero. I (as a short) love nothing more than a small man wi a whopper cock.

Edit to only add: AND HE'S FUNNY TOO!
"He's like a horny smurf"

It was at the end of that episode, Samantha’s day was meant to massively improve because she met Leo at the charity event.. they didn’t show anyone, it was just a hand reached out to her and Carrie’s voiceover said that it was Leo. A bit weird!
That was so strange! Was v jarring on my recent rewatch - they could have totally come up with something less random (or rather delivered it in a better way)

I feel like they were always a bit much though no? Don't get me wrong most of the outfits were absolutely fantastic and were a big part of the show, but I don't think there was ever an episode where they were in flat shoes (unless they were working out) and I can't imagine living that kinda lifestyle, as much as I'd love to 😂

I was thinking that. Carrie even wore her heels in her apartment. No need 😂
I must be an unglam 40 something as id have turned up at the Paris Plaza (cant quite remember the exact name) in my vans and gym leggings. Comfort haha

The same way ahe kept the wedding dress in a shoebox I guess 😅 I didn't like him either, very manipulative and the slap thing was a huge warning sign for the future
So I need a rewatch (currently at start of S6) but I didn’t think he intentionally slapped her - looked like he turned around and gestured in frustration and accidentally hit her? But correct me if I’m wrong! Also Carrie decked Big (and gave him a black eye) when he accidentally pushed her out of bed but that wasn’t portrayed as anywhere near as bad..

I was always unsure about this... for me how he was seemed like he'd be the kind of man who would. But maybe thats me projecting. Either way I don't think he was a nice man at all. True about Carrie and big but for me with the Russian it was more things like him asking (begging ) her to abandon plans to support him (gallery opening) and leaving her. This is the kind of person who eventually makes you abandon contact with your friends/family for the same reason

I don’t think he intentionally slapped her but it was a display of his total disregard for her feelings and annoyance with her. In my opinion, it doesn’t really matter how it happened, he slapped her and it was a pretty intense moment. I would have been out of there in a shot myself. I really dislike everything about the Paris scenes and the lead up to going to Paris. Not a fan of the Russian at all.

Am rewatching season 2. Big is much less of a prick than I remember and Carrie is more of one.

When someone tells you who they are - listen. I learned this the hard way!

He never pretended she was more to him than she was. They hung out and had fun but that was it for him.

He moved out of New York and didn't tell her. No discussion. He didn't have the manners to give her the heads up that he was getting married. We discussed the scene recently about her meeting him in a restaurant when he was in a date and she didn't know he was seeing other people. The list goes on.

She didn't want to see what was in front of her.
