Yeah it also annoyed me that she said she didn’t have their contact details - she could have easily phoned the restaurant to leave a message/send over some champagne with an apology!
 
She’s a caricature baby person, she squeals and claps and gasps and falls and thinks it’s cute and adorable instead of really unappealing when one is late 30s, let alone late 50s.

It’s one reason the Petrovsky relationship fails, he is an adult and she acts like a teenager. I have an enduring crush on Baryshnikov so I think Petrovsky offered her a lot but she wanted him to be something else. And getting hung up on the baby thing… she didn’t have a baby with Big either. It was her who didn’t want one not the man, and that’s ok.

I also hated her when she wouldn't let him talk about his pal that passed away.

petrovsky should have dated samantha! he was too mature, too streetwise, too cultured for carrie.

i did a rewatch over lockdown and i honestly think that the boyfriend who “suited” carrie the most was berger. i would have liked to see him in the reboot as there’s actually something to discuss there, not dragging aiden out.
