Exactly that, it's gone through no rounds of brainstorming or anything. So many of the flaws they could have ironed out and achieved the same objectives without it being so nonsensical. There's nothing smart, well thought-out or unexpected about it all.

If there were indeed any writers involved it probably won't be back after this season until at least 2025 with the strikes.

The baffling thing is is that the official writers room podcast MPK and the other writers are all so very proud of themselves for everything they have done these last two seasons. They are creaming their knickers at how good all their ideas are and aren’t afraid to gloat about it on the podcast.

Slight OT but has anyone else watched Kim's Glamorous on Netflix? I loved it. Hard to not see her as Samantha but it suited her down to the ground.

Ah there are some moments in s4 of SATC that I love. Sam mouthing "I'm sorry", to Miranda, Aidan's country house, the Steve cancer arc to Miranda's pregnancy running alongside Charlotte's sham marriage crumbling under the pressure of infertility. Really some laugh aloud and cry aloud moments.

The episode where Sam mouths 'I'm sorry' makes me bawl my eyes out every time. Love SATC.

Thinking about it as someone of their age (or older..) now.about the miranda pregnancy thing, I find it shocking there was so little mentioned Bout them using (ot not) condoms. I would never dream of sleeping with someone who wS not a serious monogamous partner without one

I agree about the lack of mentioning condoms in the show in general, but with Steve and Miranda the story was that she had a lazy ovary and he only had one ball. I'm sure she has a conversation with Carrie/someone else when she gets pregnant about the fact that they didn't bother with protection because there was hardly a chance they could conceive together?

Why keep Seema and Nya? Just curious as in my opinion they are bringing absolutely nothing to the series..

Sorry I missed this! Well, it’s clear they want to add some diversity to the cast of the show, and imo Seema and Nya have the most potential of any of the new characters. The problem is, there are so many other plot points / pointless storylines going on, that they’ve really had no time to develop Nya / Seema properly, in a way that would make the audience care about them. Right now they are lost in a soup of people including extended random family members (eg LTW and her family).

LTW seems to just be put in situations where we get the best shot of her boobs.

The old narration style could attempt to weave the new characters into the storylines and give them a bit of purpose. They just fall flat without it. The narration was a formula that worked well for SATC and could work for AJLT to compensate for the lazy writing but that’s just it, the writers are too lazy! I’ve said it too many times to count on this thread

Seema had potential but I’m bored of her character now.

Nya had potential but now her character is pointless.

LTW is gorgeous but nothing makes me care about her character or her extended family characters.

Petition to banish Che, Lily and Rock from the show. Awful characters, terrible acting.
