Che is supposedly non-binary, their pronouns are they/them. I think the actor is as well although I read that they’ve gone back to she/her pronouns, so whether them still considers they self non-binary or not, I don’t know. It’s a minefield!

I think they’re gearing up for Rose to be trans though. I’m not going to derail the thread with my personal thoughts on this, because it’s enough of a headfuck as it is.

Agreed! I'm going through it with my own adult child (don't even know what to call them!), Headfuck indeed!

I really hope and pray they don’t make Rose trans. How the f*ck does liking skateboarding and baggy clothes when you’re 12 make you a boy? THERE’S MORE THAN ONE WAY TO BE A GIRL. Sorry I didn’t mean to shout there, it’s just a subject that bothers me. Teenage girls not wanting to be girls anymore because it’s a fashion trend. Arrgghhh.

Yup. And being lauded for it. It’s like just give them a few months and they will be on to the next fashion fad!!!!!
 
Just looked at Sara Ramirez’s Wikipedia page and it’s they/them. Also it says both her parents are Mexican and she was born there, where does the Irish come in? Don’t tell me her great granny was Irish and that’s enough to put ‘Mexican Irish’ on her Instagram bio and pass on to her AJLT character 🤣🤣🤣 bonkers.

Her character (Che) is Mexican Irish, the actor playing them isnt.
