Well this completely ruins the illusion, doesn't it?!

I finally watched it and agree with the general feelings on here. I was furious with the scene in the market, clearly set up to compare Steve unfavourably with the other husband and although I usually like Charlotte I thought her screaming at Harry in the street was foul. Imagine if it had been Harry screaming at Charlotte?

All I could think of is 'WASPs never yell, It's genetic' - it's as if the new writers never actually watched the old show!

We KNOW these characters and that's the issue

I have to say I quite like the fact they are splitting Miranda and Steve up as they should have never been paired together in the first place...what an awful match, but as much as I am happy they are introducing a more diverse cast, Miranda wouldn't have ended up in an LGBTQ+ relationship, if anything Steve and her would've already split by that point and she had started seeing a former conquest and Che would've been the new fourth member due to being slightly younger than the rest and sexually active in the city! As for the mixed feelings surrounding Big dying I was so annoyed by it when it happened after they put us through series upon series and films of his bullshit for her to not end up with him however, I do think Carrie has matured and now needs someone who can be there for her and not someone she's constantly chasing. Charlotte is completely doing my head in this series I keep watching and watching and thinking 'god was she always this foul?' and having gone back and watched both films and the last few series, yes she has absolutely always been a spoilt, demanding narcissist who despite being supportive of rock is quite evidently a Karen in disguise just trying to do whatever for public popularity and they are not her actual views. Brady is horrible and it's sad because they could've developed a new and interesting character without giving him barely any storylines and making him a horrible human being. Harry is still one of my favourite characters and deserves far more than Charlotte. For guesses of future storylines or possible next series stories I think Aidan will obviously be back but not necessarily to date Carrie. I also think currently there's too much going on with each of the girls having friends that are now prominent in the story lines and also with Che and Anthony being there, I think the writers need to identify who the most interesting are and leave the others as side characters, a definite for me at the minute would be Nya as she has the most interesting potential.

I would love Aiden to come back in a relationship and Carrie trying it on with him only for him to reject her :ROFLMAO:
Charlotte has always been awful, I am watching season 2 of satc atm where Miranda is dating Steve and Charlotte is going on about how "owkring class" steve is and how she would never date someone like that, I always hoped she would end up with someone who was not rich, as much as I like Harry it did annoy me they ended up together, especially after she said how much better she was than him before he proposed.
I think one of the issues (there are clearly loads) are that there are just too many characters in every episode, SATC always had lots of one off characters but the amount of things happening now means nothing has enough detail or explanation

Not sure if it’s been commented on before but why, oh why is Brady suddenly only 17? He was born early 2001, a few months before my son who will be 21 in July! It just seems sloppy to not get details like this correct…
He was meant to have been born in the autumn of 2002 making him 20 years old this year - so he will be 18/19 on screen now in this series. Have they actually said on the show that he’s meant to only be 17???

My mistake, you’re right he was born Feb 2002, so is 6 months younger than my boy. He should be 20 by now. They’ve mentioned him being 17 twice now…. Also, Lily was adopted in 2004, same time as I had my middle son who is 18 in a couple of weeks (I don’t know how old she was when she was adopted but I guess over 6 months!), I wonder how old they’re saying she is in the programme. I feel like I’m reading way too much into this!

Thing is. In real life who is pining for an ex from like 15 years ago?
It’s like in neighbours when Harold Bishop came back from the dead. And he and Madge got back together. And she was still as in love with him as she had been. I mean, time had passed, she’d moved on and although I’m sure she was glad he wasn’t really dead, but life had gone on.
I think it would be a good plot if he got together with Semma (Aiden, not Harold 😜), and Carrie was alright with it

On the Just Like That instagram they posted a picture of Che and Miranda titled ‘making magic’ or something like that and 99% of the comments are anti this storyline and supporting Steve. Wonder what cynthia and the writers make of the response, or are they so far up their own echo chamber (I.e arse) that they don’t even care.
They're just jealous homophobic hater trolls! 🙄

I thought someone was joking about the Irish in her bio 😐. I'm sure she was they/them a matter of weeks ago.
