So that episode was awful, for all the reasons already mentioned. Just some random musings…

They should have kept the narration and themed episodes where everything links. The new format stinks.

The character Che is the absolute worst, in every way 😖

Carrie’s apartment was completely redecorated in the first movie - and has been decorated again since - but she seems to have held on to some of her old furniture from the series? I’m confused. As much as I’d like to pretend the movies didn’t happen, they did.

What they are doing to Steve’s character is awful - but I did consider that he’s going the same way as his mother, Mary? However, that would be an actual link to the original series and I just don’t think the writers are that invested in, or care about the original characters.

I don’t give one flying f**k about any of the side characters.

The only positive thing I can say about that episode is Miranda’s boobs look fabulous.

Rant over.

Love this thread 🥰

Miranda really is selfish in the bedroom (or kitchen)
She gets fingered by Che, she asks Steve to finger her, then from the looks of it she just lies there while Che does all the work but somehow is extremely out of breath. The best ‘sex’ she’s ever had while she just stands or lies there like a bleeping sack of potatoes. The way she fawns over Che too, just no.
Che is awful too.

Are we supposed to give a tit about any of the new side characters? The only remotely interesting ones are the professor and her husband. And Seema. But other than them…. They’re all rubbish, undeveloped characters that have no dimension at all. It’s such a snore!

Less characters and more actual coherent storylines would have been better…..

I think the writers thought ~Che was going to serve this presence that would do it for the lesbians and straight women like Shane from The L Word… but alas… the story is not giving what it is meant to give.

Another pile of horse tit 😭 I don’t think Charlotte even knew what point she was trying to make with the refusal to apologise. Her lips have ruined her.

Steve 💔

Does Carrie always have to be such a bleeping one upper? ‘You say your sex life is dead but BIG IS LITERALLY DEAD’ ‘you may have tit yourself on a date but DID YOU DO IT AFTER YOUR HUSBAND DIED?’ Christ.
Like when she put that post it over Charlotte's engagement ring from Harry.

Maybe it's something to do with the fact that Cynthia Nixon is lobbying for legalising Cannibis in America. She seems to have written the narritive for her character, maybe Che's too.

Ah makes sense.

I think with Kim refusing to come back the producers and Sarah have decided to give cynthia whatever she wants in order to secure her back, as she has made it clear she agreed to come back if there were changes, and now we have the Cynthia show *YAWN*

Well done for ruining a brilliant character

And as a result, her politics and policy’s have taken over. It’s a tv show with established characters we have been invested in for the last 20 years. Now she’s trying to re write it and expect us to bleeping buy it. It’s no place for her political agenda. And everyone involved should be bleeping ashamed to have let this tit air.

I can’t believe what they’ve done to Steve. They’ve literally tried every trick in the book to make Steve appear so undesirable that the audience will forgive/encourages Miranda’s affair. I mean, here’s a few examples:
(a) Steve’s extra strong New York accent - I don’t remember it ever being this caricature or overacted?
(b) Steve’s deafness - it’s like they want us to think he’s 85 or something??
(c) Steve’s bumbling and confusion - again, he’s not 85
(d) Fashion faux pas - denim on denim…really?
(e) Sexual incompetence - I mean seriously, wtf that’s such an insult to his character from SATC

the show is a total shitshow 🤮

Anyone else find this scene so utterly bizarre?
Initially I thought things were going dark, witnessing Lisa Todd Wexley losing it onstage. Early onset dementia or something more fitting of a serious drama. Repeatedly forgetting to hold the microphone to her lips as the audience sensed something was amiss.

I think this was just so they could set up Che's "I'll take her mic, she's not using it" badum bum chhh 🥁 line 🙄

So true, Steve was a total shagger in the series. The problem has always been Miranda picking faults with him.

This!! There were so many hot scenes between him and Miranda. Also Charlotte found a lot of Harry’s ways/appearance embarrassing at first but it didn’t stop them having “the best sex of her life”. It would be more in keeping with the characters to have Miranda and Steve going through some issue like Steve having deteriorating health and how they cope with that as a couple since he was always quite a solid rock for Miranda (minus when he cheated.)

I have a theory that they will drop a bomb about Harry having colon cancer in the last episode in order to almost force a next series as everyone will be like nov what’s going to happen to Harry…

The whole Charlotte and Harry storyline this episode was just incoherent. But at least they're still the couple we'd recognise from the original series. I can't get over what AJLT has done to Steve!
They can't get around Big being a a character so I'm not sure why they're removing all mention of him. The actor not the character is the one who has done wrong and the actor is no longer on the show.
Strange scenes for Carrie this episode but the teacher seems cute enough.
I wondered the same, the actor is the one being accused and has already died on screen so why is it wrong to show him in flashbacks? Obviously if they hadn’t already killed him off I wouldn’t expect him to continue in the show with fresh storylines but he was a massive part of Carrie’s story, they can’t erase the character.

I thought this too. Would have made for a better storyline especially as David Eigenberg (think that is how you spell it) is going through hearing loss in real life. They could have handled this with a lot more sensitivity and not made it into a joke.

Also he wouldn't have had that many lays if he was a dud. Although maybe he's gone off the new Miranda now she's turned into Cynthia!
