They could have had a plot line when Steve suffers hearing loss and the impact that had on him and his confidence, the effect on Miranda dealing with his disability and the growing awareness between the two of them of how age will affect them physically and in their relationship. That would have allowed them to show a different kind of more mature love growing in a relationship. That would surely appeal to viewers that have aged with the show and might enjoy seeing some of their own life reflected on screen. But I guess doing that wouldn't allow for slogans, woke alerts and finger bangs.

I think they’re using him as a scapegoat to justify Miranda’s affair. None of the ladies seem that arsed about her carrying on either.
 
Starting to hate Miranda. Of course the sex with Che would be ‘intense’, she hasn’t had sex with Steve for years and she’s having an affair. Where’s the hand wringing about having an affair and the introspection about what she’s doing and what it means? Terrible writing.

And I didn’t like Steve as a character in SATC, but I feel really sorry for him at the minute, not just for what Miranda is doing, but for what they’ve done to his character. He’s only supposed to be mid 50’s and he’s acting like a senile old man in his 80’s who’s forgotten what a vagina is. Poor old Shhteve 😣
 
Are we really doing the ‘What a bore, such a turn off’ because Steve washed his hands?

What hellscape do we live in where you handle food and then DONT wash your hands before inserting them inside someone? Is this a turn off? Really? Hygiene?! How boring!

I’m not even going to touch on the whole Steve doesn’t know *how* to have sex anymore shitshow.
