I wonder what Sara Ramirez thinks about it all? They’re being pretty much universally panned, or at least the awful Che is

I wonder the same. I'm rewatching early Grey's episodes and I so loved them in this series, AJLT is not doing them any favours and they're just coming accross as predatory and quite immature. Obviously I know it's a character but sometimes art imitates life somewhat especially as we no longer have Miranda but Cynthia on AJLT

I agree, I think the worst thing is how their predatory behaviour is not portrayed as negative

Yeah, like if you're non binary it's fine to be sexually aggressive, finger bang married women in colleagues apartments, or rude enough to smoke in an enclosed space, or with teenagers, etc. Also why the duck are they pushing this narrative that Che is super sexy, so attractive even Charlotte is attracted to them? They're not hot looking, and have a terrible personality to boot!

I’m really surprised that the actor who plays che (don’t know her name sorry!) didn’t object as someone non binary, really doesn’t look great . Charlotte being attracted to them is hilarious, although charlotte’s phrasing of it did seem at least true to character in a way

There was also an article reviewing AJLK which started with, "My therapist said Che Diaz cannot hurt me."

this one also got me 🤣

I mean...Che has a beautiful face and smile. but personality wise, and the way they behave isn't all that. I find it hard to believe that Miranda and Charlotte are so magnetically drawn to them.

Maybe Charlotte had a sexy dream about Che the same way I once had a sexy dream about Paul McCartney. Yuck, I cringed inside out and still can’t watch the ropey old fucker to this day.
omg! did he have his awful mahogany hair in the dream?

… the narcissism, non-existent sense of humour and total lack of morals. The inability to say anything interesting. Ooh so sexy

And looks exactly like Sara Ramirez does. Hair, clothes etc. So are they Che or Sara? Are they playing themselves?

I'm confusing myself here, are these people acting or just being themselves. The only one that seems believable is Charlotte.

Yes, I know exactly what you mean and it’s a good point.

I have the same sort of confusion about the decision to put Miranda in a rather ageing (in my opinion) grey bob wig, when Cynthia Nixon appeared recently on a chat show with a very cute red pixie cut which looked delightful and very flattering - and very youthful. I realise of course that actors don’t have to look like the characters they’re playing, but given that they’re the same age (and the real life character of Cynthia seems to have entirely taken over the body of Miranda) I do wonder what was behind this choice - and if it was the same sort of thinking that decided it would be a good idea to give Carrie a hip replacement.
