It has really made me lose respect for Cynthia as an actress as she clearly thinks the part is well written and great. Is she that clueless?
I think it shows why giving all the main actors exec roles isn't always a good idea. Some people would be better just acting.

She directed the last episode which I can't help but wonder if it distracted from the acting. Never quite understand how people can star Infront of the camera, and direct something and do a good job of both.

Miranda having a premonition of evens to come...

I was really annoyed when they cut Mr big out of the first episode. I was fuming. I had always loved Mr Big. I didnt even watch the second episode because i was so pissed off. The i heard about the allegations and somehow it made it ok for him not to be in the show. I do believe innocent until proven guilty but yes i feel better now that his character is not in it.

Did they go back and edit those episodes after they were released?

Saw a video snippet of AJLT photoshoot, and the comments are hilarious but very valid.

Its all the women of the show (including the new bunch) and sara ramirez, everyone asking why ‘they’ are there as it’s obviously the women of the show and they are non binary, happy to be a ‘female’ for that moment was she?

anyways the only reason im still watching is because i want to see aiden 😩 i really hope they don’t do another season. Everyone in the HBO comments are talking about how bad the
Wokeness is, hope that opens their eyes at how patronising they are this time around

I wonder what Sara Ramirez thinks about it all? They’re being pretty much universally panned, or at least the awful Che is
I came across an instagram of her talking about her (Sara’s) pronouns and yakking on about queerness, nonbinary, trans, safe spaces and a lot of other nonsensical woke word salad. I’ve no doubt she thought she was bringing the world a great gift with Che, and would hazard a guess that she blames the backlash on heteronormative transphobic white folk. Personally I think that anyone who agreed to be filmed on camera reading this script deserves everything coming to them.

Is it sad that I would watch a second series? 😜Hopefully they will learn from the comments and tone the wokeness down. Cynthia needs to take a backseat.

Do we know how much input cynthia Nixon had in the show coming back? Aside from the directing she did in the last episode.
As some of you lovely lot have already said, it seems like shes turned miranda into cynthia, and in doing so her storyline has pretty much taken over the "main" characters storyline of carrie becoming a widow.
And then the storyline with rock, it feels like a lot of input from someone wanting to educate on gender issues but I feel like the way it's been done I feel like I, as the viewer, am getting lectured on it

Does anyone think Michael Patrick King knew Cynthia would get this reaction? Like he’s in on how it would go down and thought alright do the show you think people want and it will back fire.
He usually gets the blame for all the shows problems in the past. I think he’s great, knows how to make good tv and his scripts were the best at knitting all the plots together.
P.S how do you have non binary sex?

I agree. I think he was a master at his craft. Satc was amazing at times, such a well written and clever show with his input .
AJLT is just beyond awful.

yeah I agree, I often hear actors say they cannot bear to watch themselves on screen, which I think makes sense, it strikes me as odd to be able to watch and direct yourself tbh

To be fair, as someone who celebrates Diwali I was dreading what fresh horrors would happen in this episode. But in terms of the Diwali stuff it wasn't toooooo bad or too wokey woke. In fact I don't really know why they called it Diwali when the episode barely featured it. Probably another box tick.
yeah it just seemed like a way of advertising that her new friend is from a different culture and,as you say, barely featured

Miranda has ‘taken over ‘ the show . I’m just rewatching series 6 and that highlighted how much Samantha is missed . It’s such a shame that Kim Cattrell is absent . I have warmed to Charlotte , Carrie is obviously low key due to her bereavement- but AJLT is missing Sam . There is also a lack of good male characters IMO . I loved Aleksander in series 6 .

Charlotte is the only character who seems to be basically the same, albeit that whole finding black friends seemed ridículous and i still doubt she would postpone her husbands doctors appt like that, am i alone in hoping they do make another just so i can hate watch? 😂

Chriiist I quickly scanned your post and thought you'd said you hoped they'd make another colonoscopy appointment so you could watch 🤢
(Still a better storyline than anything involving Che)
