She’s def reading & taking on board feedback - so good for her. As a ‘brand’ it’d be mad to to listen to market research. Still think Freaky Friday was a massive own goal though.

Mad *not* to listen to market research 🙄

Sali Hughes taking note of what Tattlers have suggested?😁 , wonder if she’ll release an ‘important statement’ re-evaluating what she thinks about this site?🤔.

The Hanacure story was interesting and better than her usual nasal sniff and rub on wrist repetitiveness but it’s too little too late for me.

She’s shown herself to be vindictive, a fabricator of facts and a cowardly bully. The absolute nerve of her to attack Esther Coren for her Space NK article then to see someone here ( sorry can’t remember who but 👍) produce evidence that she has , in the past, written a similar story smacks of nastiness and of her looking to kick another woman who is a better writer, more popular and clearly a lot nicer.

Today's lip balm snore fest again highlights her lack of imagination in producing a decent column.

The Hanacure mask has been on the market for a while now. I tried it around 2 years ago, did not think much of it. To review a product that it clearly in the extremely expensive/frivolous category of skincare and say has no general interest in masks anyway smacks as a populist review aimed to strengthen her ‘street cred’. Sorry I’m not buying it.

Completely this.

Oh wow. From the review I thought it was a new product that suddenly slebs were raving about. I've never heard if it before and certainly wasn't being followed round by it (I will be now because I just googled the flipping thing). Looking at other reviews she knew what it would look like on so may have suited her purpose if she wanted to project a more human side.
Also the stupid women's magazine type heading " the internet's "miracle " mask...". It reminds me of her sweatshirt post on FB. Was Instagram *really* in meltdown?

This. If you’re a beauty JOURNALIST as opposed to an Influencer shilling for free stuff you would of course review products and tell people not to bother. It’s just nonsense to do otherwise.
Saying that you won't review a product you don't like gets you off the hook nicely, doesn't it? That way, you'll never tread on anyone's toes, most of all the big beauty companies. You simply ignore the awful product, then include one you DO like down the track. Everyone's happy. Except the reader, who's both kept in the dark and given an endless list of stuff SH loves 🙄 Imagine if a movie critic only wrote about movies they loved? What's the good of that?

We all liked that less than glowing mask review because it felt authentic, she had a bit of a laugh at herself, and it was interesting/fun to watch. But of course the stakes were very low for her personally

(Apologies. I should have finished catching up on the thread before writing my redundant comments)

Oh dear, that sweater!
She's not wearing it ironically either, is she? 😞

I think Keats finally had enough and has been denying her requests for seances given the even lower standards of piss poor writing in today's column:

I love Chrissie. She does self-deprecation really well, is humble, and insightful

I’ve had Soleil Blanc and Neroli Portofino , both nice but not worth the £££ I spent as the staying power on me was a few hours at most , such a shame 😡.

Darn. That's exactly my concern, judging by the wee sample I got. What a shame, because I love the scent itself

I was thinking of getting one of the Le Labo fragrances, but I don't know. I think I'd grow sick of the two I've tried (Santal 33 and The Noir)

I know . It literally makes me cringe a little every time I see it. There is something that is so smug and twee about it. I think she had another one too saying 'Metropolitan Liberal Elite' (poking fun at herself ya know).
The lipbalm thing. Well. What can you say apart from . There simply must be a way to write in a way about almost anything that can be interesting and engaging? And this is awfully nitpicky but the saying she has 12 in various bags etc irritated me a bit. Now I know they are about £1.99 and it is easy to just keep buying them when you leave one in another bag but we have to stop with constant consumption of products somewhere I think and use up what we have. Could just as easily start with the humble stuff as well the high end. This as I say is picking holes and she wrote it to be relatable.
As @PineappleQueen19 says it really does show to an almost embarrassing degree how the comments were the best thing. I got so many good tips from there - I think years ago it was there I realised how Superdrug had got so good and massively upped their game.

Btw the constant replacing of stuff reminded me of QVC the other day (which is a masterclass in flogging 'hero' products in a hypnotic way) and they were selling a pack of 6 Mally mascaras because 'as you all know you should replace your mascaras every 6 months' as if this were fact. That's not true is it? Mine are, hem, slightly older than that and I've not had a foul eye complaint yet.
