I've finally remembered the dolly that Sal's hair reminded me of (does anyone else remember Tressy)?
I wasn't allowed a Tressy or Barbie but I imagine that the texture and flammability of their barnets was probably akin to she here's.

Within months it was breaking off, despite being coloured by one of the top (i.e. expensive) London colourists. I think fine hair, in particular, can't withstand the overlap of bleach that inevitably happens when you colour the regrowth. Curiously, it didn't break off evenly but in patches. I had it cut into a pixie cut. I'd never before had short hair but it actually suited me and I got lots of compliments. It seemed to grow back to shoulder length, and beyond, in no time at all.

I'm the same, fine hair (although I've got an abundance off it)
I'm heavily bleached (but by regular full head highlights rather than bleach)

I think if you want to be blonde with fine hair, you have to accept you cant heat style it all the time and you regularly need a good chop.
Dark I kept my hair below bra band, blonde I chop at shoulder level.

My natural hair is really dark and it wasn't suiting me, was making me look quite washed out. It's def not lower maintenance tho so she chats waffle there. Dark I could bang a home root dye for 20 mins and it was sorted, blonde involves 5 hrs at the hairdressers each tone

I could have understood her going all guns blazing in his defence if he was a close personal friend, but there's no suggestion that's the case. And the narrative that the tabloids do this randomly for amusement just to destroy lives is crap too, straight from the guilty celeb playbook - the press know when they are onto something, well, because they are journalists and it's their job to take a rumour and work out if it's true or not.

As a fellow journalist, does Sali not know this? 🤔
