No one will convince me that this wasn’t 100% intentional (and hilarious)

On the other hand that video was unintentionally hilarious. Two highlights ‘this makes my hair so smooth and soft’ *gestures to hair with the texture of a Halloween wig* and when she gets out the dry bar thing then says it’s disgusting and full of her hair. If only she’d known she was going to do a video with it in 🤔
Bravo Nadine you naughty minx, I'm sure you can delete comments left on other people's posts for ages after... 🤭

I really think Sali is missing a trick, if she focused on getting her hair back to good health she could turn that into content. Instead she’s throwing all the tools and extensions at it and hoping to mask the damage. Such a missed opportunity when she could be doing a “how I saved my bleach destroyed hair” journey

Is there a reason why influencers just film a flow of consciousness/unprepared load of blah? Are ther rules against re-recording, or editing?
Some expert content creators haven't worked out they can pay a professional to edit their videos into a snappier version, and are sticking with a supposedly spontaneous ramble abruptly truncated by a head bobbling shot as if eyefucking yourself in the oven door.

Look how much hair had been yanked out and she’s just left in the brush yet claims in the comments it won’t cause any damage!

ETA: Sali saying ‘Hershesons’ with those new gnashers made me piss myself

It won’t damage your hair but choose between damaging your hair with this or another method of damaging your hair.

Hmm.

Anyone know if there’s a protective creme that might help?

Any beauty experts about anywhere?

Wasn't it a load of waffle? Just endlessly repeating the same points. How many times could she say it would work better if you didn't have extensions? (She's growing out layers btw and that is why she's got them).
Also when she said something like 'they claim it 100% doesn't damage hair and I don't believe that but its not just GHD products claim that so I don't hold that against it'. Well as a journalist whose usp is 'honesty' shouldn't she be at least curious about this false advertising? Maybe examine the claims more closely? But she'd stop getting her freebies then I suppose.
And yes @HowardMoon - the hair on the appliance right after she'd yanked it through her strands.

That is classic Sali. It can never just be “I got them because I want my hair to look nicer”, there’s always some excuse about it being a necessity to fix something

I watched the first few minutes of her review if the brush and didn’t find it helpful at all. As a fellow thin-haired woman I wish more people highlight the fact the GHD hair tools are inherently aimed at thicker hair types. They are set at one heat setting of 185 degrees C, claimed to be ‘optimal’, which is total bollocks and will absolutely cause damage on thinner hairs. The bristles on this new brush also seem to be hard and will cause unnecessary breakage. You would expect that some level of analysis and critical thinking is used when being gifted a £400 product which is then promoted as the next big thing.

As someone with thick hair, 185C is not hot enough to style my hair effectively.

It's why I switched to Cloud Nine hair straighteners - I love that they go up to 230C.

I haven't bought a hair tool from GHD for many years now, after I was disappointed with the GHD Gold hair straightener, which didn't get hot enough for my hair.

Yeah, whenever I was growing layers out I just let my hair grow. That, and buy an Aussie hair mask are my thrifty hints for She Here.
Hasn't she only got 'layers' because her hair has broken off (due to high lift bleaching and styling with hot appliances)? If she'd had layers deliberately cut in at some point surely she'd have told us? Maybe she did and I wasn't paying attention.

I wondered about that. None of her recent styles indicated layers. Did she mean she had some shorter shaping around her face? She said the extensions were at the front for volume and the layers thing.
But also those extensions aren't just for volume - we saw photos a while ago of her real hair length now and it is quite short, only just reaches her shoulders. I bet the truth is her hair is knackered from the bleach and styling - but she can't say that as it would admit the going grey was a bad choice, and would hinder her advertising hair products.

I'm sure that's right - but as @SqualorVictoria says she could get a lot of content (and advertising opportunities) from getting her hair back into better shape.

I don't think, however, that brands consider whether or not the influencer's own appearance is a good advert for their product. I think they must just look at things like their social media reach and who they're reaching.

I don’t think Sali is worried about advertising hair products, I think it’s more down to her refusal to ever admit she is wrong or has made a mistake. She was so adamant about going grey “on my terms” and she isn’t the type to admit she made a mistake

Exactly, if she was to make content about getting her hair back into better shape, brands would surely be queueing up with ad opportunities

But then she’s be admitting that the various #presstreatments she had gushed over, had ruined her hair.

Yes but she’s been getting it bleached for free…and shed have to admit she went on and on with it whilst her hair was crumbling. Who would take beauty advice from such a person?

I’d sooner take advice from a person who could hold their hands up and admit they were wrong rather than the person who keeps doing the thing that is damaging and insisting that everything is fine

I think that’s very probable @Aude. I can’t say I’ve ever noticed her layers. It has to be from breakage which usually happens around the face/at the front
---
I’m really interested to see how her hair will end up in, say 10 years (as well as her face, tbh). There’s only so much it can take. I’d be really worried if I was her that it will all snap off and something drastic will need to be done

I use the L’Oréal 8 second wonder water. Sali could do with some of that I reckon. My hairdresser recommended it after a client whose hair had been frazzled at another salon came to her for a second appt with unrecognisable hair compared the the first one. It really is good tit.
In case people don’t like the very strong scent of the Wonder Water, Amika do one called The Kure Multi Task Repair Treatment which I’m currently using and it’s amazing. Very light but has a huge effect on my hair which is thick and can be frizzy and gives great shine. I PAID btw!
