Running Instagrammers #15 when content is more important than health

so according to Anna, you can only be up early if you are a parent or a runner? duck you Anna.
Emergency workers? Shift workers? People with insomnia? People who didn’t procreate and therefore don’t think themselves superior to everyone else?
she’s so full of tit. Fed up of her and her i’M So quIrKY fake poses.

Why do people who exercise in the morning think they’re so superior?! It’s like me posting that people who exercise at 9pm are morally superior to those losers who go to bed at 9pm.

and she does all her runs fasted and doesn’t fuel at all during long runs, but yeah you’re not disordered at all

Where is the leather jacket pic? I couldn’t see it mainly because I struggled to get past the terrible white polo neck/hair/eyebrow combo from her stories today
The leather jacket has been a real feature lately. I really cannot work out her style (or attempted style). It’s like Monica from friends in her frumpy years, meets Grease, meets librarian.
The very fact that the only things she does to protect her mental health relate to consideration of energy burnt says to me that she’s exercise addicted (I mean, as well as the multiple other red flags….) and also that she’s incredibly INCREDIBLY blinkered to the challenges other people have in their lives. For some of us mental health goes way deeper than needing to protect ourselves if we’ve dared only do “x” steps today, or run x kms.
She is genuinely one of the most short-sighted, self obsessive idiots out there.
I pity her husband, kids, and eyebrows.

I think Anna is being an absolute bleeping idiot with the volume of running she is doing already, let alone talking about doing a marathon in a few weeks. She’s not long had the all clear to start running after getting help for a prolapse, but she is so disordered she can’t be sensible and take her time. She’s risking serious long term damage and future incontinence.

But I suppose doing the sensible thing and switching to a low impact exercise would prove that it is all about burning off calories rather than the love of running.

Yeah which she will do the faux “i’m not pushing the pace i just love running so much, i’m taking it easy blah blah blah” (but secretly she will be trying to run a sub 3.45). the whole extended fam will be dragged out in the cold to cheer her on.

I forgot to add in the non-disordered list of things: running 16 miles at 5am when you’re 7 months pregnant
also while we’re at it, can we acknowledge here new obsession of the ice bath. Once again, clearly thinking she is highly superior to us mere mortals who prefer to bathe in the privacy of their bathroom, with some bubbles and hot water.

She would probably take pissing herself over having to stop running.

I reckon those times will cut quite a few out of the championship. 1:26 half is a lot faster than 1:28 for starters… plus I think it’s 4 mins faster marathon.
But won’t it just push people down to GFA and then make GFA even harder to get in…. Will be an interesting watch!

I’ve been in championship 5 times now and last year was by far the busiest….
I’m late reading posts but last year was awful. So busy and the toilet queue was impossibly long. I’m glad they’re tightening it up if it means it’s less overcrowded

I feel personally attacked :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I have bad arthritis in my big toe joints (diagnosed aged 25), and so actually wear carbon plated, rocker shoes (often those that are deemed 'super shoes') 90% of my life (with custom cast orthotics). I was advised by a podiatrist when things were so bad I could barely walk, and it changed my life. I live pretty much pain free now. 10% of the time I wear nice shoes - aka weddings, funerals or parties. The rest of the time I rotate my carbon rockers - this is for day to day life and exercise. I do worry that runners judge me for wearing them! So while I understand that maybe they should not be allowed for racing, there are other reasons some people might wear them 🙈🙈
Late to the thread sorry 😅. Would rockers not worsen your arthritis? They’re designed to push the impact onto your toe joints (this is why I can’t wear them as also have significant arthritis in toes

Anna deliberating whether to do a marathon when she has just had a prolapse, everyone commenting saying it’s a bad idea…….who reckons she will do it anyway ? She seems very ignorant of the long term complications of pelvic floor problems !

The only marathon you should be doing after a prolapse is a movie marathon with a graded exercise regimen from a specialist.

Finally the ASICS Frontrunners has come to an end. What will we all do now that we don’t have to see insufferable people with their free gear

My entire insta feed atm is just instarunners pushing Black Friday sales, some disclosed but many not - even the ones I usually don’t mind (eg Becky Briggs who is at least an elite so offers good advice).

had to do a mass unfollow, they’re all basically just sales reps at this point. Yawn! At least when their instarunning careers eventually tank they can go into sales… Mary McCarthy is always trying to aggressively flog something or other

Definitely some trouble in the camp it seems. I've seen as mass exodus today.

Interesting.
Although I've never had any interest in the "front runners" or the "run happy" lot, always seemed like an in clique of influencers (or try hards) having a circle jerk over each other. Always commenting on and liking each others posts, then the dull trips away which they would all make out to be the best thing ever. The people trying to desperately join, tagging them away in every post, just why would you want to do this to yourself?
