Ruby Granger #47 Self Learning at the University of Roobs, Manor campus

I don't know if it's the case but on YouTube comments containing external links usually get deleted automatically, or they flag it and the YouTube channel has to approve it first before it becomes public. But I don't want to defend Ruby, it would definitely be on-brand if she deleted it. 😂
I really don't know, I saw it fine an hour before and it just vanished. And as she has a history of deleting comments I wouldn't be surprised.

A new Punky Ploptufty yearly planner got released this week and she just dumped it on the store with absolutely zero build-up, announcement or related content. She's reached new levels of lazy ineptitude.
I guess she’s hoping to market it to people like herself - the woefully underprepared and the chronically late. In the meantime, real shops are already discounting their 2025 planners.

Roobs is pledging to take mornings MORE slowly. How?

Well, I see she only mentioned the yearly planner at the end of the video and has only chosen to release it in 1 colour because it was the most popular colour when people were buying the academic planner. She didn't mention anything about the planner and how it is different to the academic planner nor did she mention the price of it.

Ruby's finally achieved her years-long dream of releasing to-do list pads! She's wanted to do this for years and it's finally happened!

Ruby JANUINELY designs every product and HONNASTLEEE runs the company, yet apparently forget that PONKOPODTIFTY already released to-do list pads and that they've been available for years.

Ruby: "I don't really read the newspaper and the content doesn't matter, I just want to hold a physical prop to make myself look and feel more studious."
Commenter: "Sounds really performative and pointless to me?"
Ruby: "ACKSHAULLY [incoherent nonsense that proves the commenter's point]"

Ruby's just outright telling people that books, newspapers and such are nothing but unread props for her content now. She subscribed to a $9-an-issue fake newspaper from France, which she openly admits she has no intention of reading, just because it looked fancier than a regular newspaper.

Why would you waste both money and paper to buy a list of things accomplished? Why not just a to-do list and cross them out as they get done? Why is she so obsessed with extra, completely unnecessary paperwork? It is so wasteful.

In the pantheon of useless, tree-killing products, it's way up the list. It's literally just a £7.50 'Already Done' list for people to write down things they already did days, weeks, months and years ago and reward themselves for past achievements while accomplishing nothing new (so...totally fitting that Ruby is behind it).

With the little notepads Rubes is starting to sell... just get a notebook if you really wanna journal about the things you accomplished. I do that because it's something my therapist told me to try but I don't need some fancy £7.50 pad to write them in? It also looks like a very tiny space to write things down in. I don't think you can write a lot in those. Or are the pics just playing tricks on me aha!

She's grinding on my nerves more than usual lately..

- The fake "I'm-better-than-you literary genius" IDENTOTY
- Also, the lack of identity (besides ^) and just being a strange amalgamation of Lisa Simpson, Hermione, Matilda, Rory Gilmore, etc.
- The pretentious accent that only gets more grating
- The boring, low-quality, repetitive videos (0 improvement or creativity despite being on Youtube for a decade)
- The money-hungry ads
- Dressing like a right-wing Mary Poppins or Mummy's good little girl to seem precocious
- The endless busywork to fill up her lack of a job and social life

I have a feeling she treats the camera/ her pre-teen audience as substitutes for friends she doesn't have. Her videos feel like they're more for herself than for the audience. I wonder if I'm just growing out of all the stuff I used to be interested in 10 years ago; I'm the same age as her and am baffled at how little growth she's shown. Just travelling, prancing around bookstores and university campuses, then retreating back into her childhood hole.

I wish she'd work on the audio of her videos. There are so many times I cannot hear her what she's saying. I keep my YouTube at half volume, never have any issues with other channels, and it's like she's constantly whispering.

Edit: I'm confused about her commonplace notebook. What do you do when you've run out of space on page 53 but 54 is full of information on another subject?

Suspiciously, there's no indication of size or how many pages those pads have on her website, which is basic, necessary information for any notepad product listing, let alone one she's expecting people will pay an extortionate £7.50 (plus postage) for. It's either been intentionally omitted because there are very few pages, or left of out of sheer incompetence.

She's spent more time love-bombing Blakeney in the product listing than actually providing essential product details:

I'm laughing so hard at 11:20-11:23 in her newest video, you have to play it in slow motion to realise what's happening but basically:
- Ruby is scrolling on her phone even though her minee timer or whatever it's called is working
- she then seems to hear something because all of a sudden she sits up quite quickly and immediately goes back to work (or should I say : she immediately pretends to go back to wahhrk)
- a few moments later she talks to someone

She then goes back to working for a bit before we see her talking to her cousin who came by unexpectedly to give her a Christmas card.

Maybe I'm wrong but it just seems to me that she forgot to cut that part out while editing because going from scrolling on her phone to scrambling to pretend she's working immediately before someone comes in shows that she's being performative even with her own family... Sad really to constantly be trying to live up to this "Ruby Granger" persona she created for herself (and others)!

she really thinks she's so special for not liking austen
Didn't she have an Austen themed birthday party this year?

It was funny because we were discussing in the week leading up to her birthday how Ruby was too thick to pick up the satirical, tongue and cheek humor of Austen to enjoy it. I still still stand by that statement.

Do you think Roobs is aware that newspapers are still very much a thing? That she doesn't have to order in a fake one from France to "get the experience of reading a newspaper"?

I don't even understand why she would get a fake one from France other than to use it as a prop. At a minimum, she would look more intellectual if she was reading a proper newspaper. It would allow her to at least know what's going on in the world outside Bones Mannor.
