We will probably get the random holiday vlog snippets in some video in a few months time when she needs filler content.
I really do think (hope) most people grow out of thinking about their own intellectual development along such institutionalised lines. Certainly, if you're trying to reach some end there is worth in having a plan of how to reach it, but such formalism strikes me as being unwarranted.View attachment 3275988 q
Rumpster is back. For an ad because of course.
She had a whole gap year where she was trying to launch her writing career. She didn't post much of substance on the topic because I don't think she'd found much of substance to say. Some time ago I believed that by now she would be going into the writertube direction... Ma'am, if you write, post your writing routine and how you work on it!
Clearly the old tailcoat she bought three years ago wasn’t as useless of a purchase as we all thought! It really comes into its own worn over a crumpled pink dress and a pair of Mickey Mouse gloves. (The hat is for Basst Frand Baloney, Ruby’s just going to wear her hair unstyled as she always does.)can't lie, very jealous seeing her at the wicked premiere
I underline mine (pencil only because the pages bleed), write on margins, put post its and page tags, use weird objects as markers or dog ear if I can't find anything to use. There are some books I own that I'm precious with for sentimental reasons or because they are quite old and would fall apart if I was rough with them but it's not because they are rare enough to be worth money haha. Although I would be livid if someone else did these to my books, only I can touch them lol. Which is why I don't lend books. On a slightly off topic note, what is the general opinion here on writing in paperbacks? I scribble all over mine. Pencil in the margins, highlighting on passages I like or want to come back to, and bits of notepaper stuck in with further thoughts that wouldn't fit in the margins. Ruby seems awfully concerned with keeping hers pristine, and I'm not saying that people who like to keep their paperbacks nice can't be literary but it strikes me as her enjoying the aesthetic of "the book object" more than "the book object" as a "book object" if you understand what I mean.

Does she dress like this out of self consciousness? Does she not believe she can look nice? This isn't a bad dress. Feminine shoes (could be a small pointed kitten heel or flats), a nice gold bracelet over those gloves, hair up in an updo and a gold necklace (or string of (faux) pearls if she wants to really go for the vintage vibes). Pair it with a delicate shawl and she could really have something going on that's definitely still in her aesthetic, but actually looks nice.View attachment 3277206 q
"Joe browns shoes (as always!)"
Is she hoping people will just magically forget that she's spent the past 48 years clomping around in real leather Docs?
In the words of the late great Amy Winehouse: "What kind of f*ckery is this?"View attachment 3277206 q

she could've at least styled her hair... it looks like it hasn't even been brushed like...View attachment 3277206 q

It gives 8 years old girl trying her older sister's dress.Does she dress like this out of self consciousness? Does she not believe she can look nice? This isn't a bad dress. Honestly, the hair. She hasn't done anything to it at all.
