This is quite a broad statement.Just one point - and not at the OP - people are born autistic. They don't 'have' autism. They are autistic.
Autism is static - support needs can change over time. A lot of children don't show obvious signs of autism until puberty hits. Some people don't realise/ seek help until later in life.
The same with ADHD.
That’s very interesting, just had a look at her history and she also regularly comments on Cherry Sue who also used to be on the panel of the Elaine show I think around the time Rosemary was on the panel. Maybe they also have history? The profile is Imsoexcited. I made a comment 2 her 2 pages back saying if it wasn't her bizzare that her opposing opinions are only to defend herself & slate FBG and Louise mc Sharry & maybe make her profile private and her writing style not so obviously her. And what do you know....
Profile is now private and she hasn't commented here since. I'd expect a name change incoming....or new profile set up!
Too much time on their hands. It's one click of a button to find out the information! Get over yourself Rosemary!I’m not Rosemary. I stopped posting because I can’t be bothered dealing with people who don’t realise that their opinion isn’t the only one that can be heard. And yes I made my profile private, tbh the profile searching made me feel uncomfortable. If a person needs to trawl my posts to try prove something then they clearly have too much time on their hands.
Wow.I was a patreon but the content was dire. An interview with one of Beatrices’ kids was a low point.
It was mostly dumped onto the free feed anyway so you missed nothing.Wow.
What was the rest of the content like?
I used to absolutely love the pod in the early days.
Do we think rosemary is having a hard time accepting the diagnosisIn the North you can't get an Autism diagnosis before the age of 4 - even if it's as plain as the nose on your face. It's a disgrace when early intervention and support is life changing.

Some comments on this thread disparaging ADHD diagnoses are really depressing to read for the record and they clearly come from a place of huge ignorance. Women in particular are much less likely to have been diagnosed with ADHD as children from a number of significant societal/ behavioural reasons. The reason we're seeing more people diagnosed now is because now there is a lot more known about how ADHD presents in women. Also lockdown was the perfect storm for ND people who have been unconsciously masking all these years.
Also 'creatives' are more likely to be ND.
Do we think rosemary is having a hard time accepting the diagnosis
Yeah, when you think of it that way it's really quite sad.I enjoyed the book because I like her writing but the sad part, which I hoped all the way through she would acknowledge, a book about how she bent to the will of men resulted in her moving to middle America of all places, for a man. Nothing has changed, only escalated in the desperate search to secure commitment.
But that's not what happened?Could you not look at it from another angle she moved to America to spend more time with her sister and kids as she thought she wasn't having kids and it would be nice to get to know beas. Then she met Brandin and had her happy ever after?
Some try to find the negative in everything.
But that's not what happened?
She went over to Bea's for a while, met the American whilst there, came back to Ireland and then went back to the US for Brandon....?
She did, she went back to America just before lockdown and Covid hit. I like Rosemary but I do think she is struggling with her little boys diagnosis and I absolutely abhor ABA. The use of it is, unfortunately, influencing my opinion of Rosemary.I didn't think she came back to Ireland after going over but I could be wrong. You hardly think she married Brandin for the sake of it? And someone here last week said they refused to call him Brandin they would call him Brandon. How petty. That's his name.
She did.I didn't think she came back to Ireland after going over but I could be wrong.
No - don't think anyone said that? You hardly think she married Brandin for the sake of it?
I think that person was joking. And someone here last week said they refused to call him Brandin they would call him Brandon. How petty. That's his name.
She did go back to Ireland and she did move back to America for him. Autocorrect probably corrects the spelling of her husband name to the correct form. I know my does.I didn't think she came back to Ireland after going over but I could be wrong. You hardly think she married Brandin for the sake of it? And someone here last week said they refused to call him Brandin they would call him Brandon. How petty. That's his name.
I completely agree. Obviously Autism is nothing to be ashamed of, but this should be Atlas' decision in later years to reveal it on a public platform if he wants to.I don't think she should have posted about it at all tbh, there was no need, it benefits Atlas in no way whatsoever to have that out there. My ND kid is a teen now and he likes to control who he tells and who he doesn't, this is his medical information after all. Having it up there on the internet forever for all to see is pretty crappy for her sons privacy, she has no idea how this is all going to pan out, who her son is going to be 10, 15 years time. There is no way now for her son to keep this info to himself if that is what he would like to do in the future, she has taken that away from him and he is not even 2 yet.
How do you know though? She came back to Ireland because she had to. Her tourist visa was ending and she had to wait for the work visa to come through..she was going back regardless of Brandin.
