It really depends on the milestones met and parent concerns. She says he has been diagnosed with autism so I believe her. Its not something I would question anyone about in their child. My son was clearly autistic by preschool, almost three. Early intervention is paramount, and ABA can duck right off.

The latest story about her wanting to eat at restaurants she and Brandon like is another fine example of ME ME ME!!!!! Your son is almost two and has autism. Bringing him around like a handbag who will just have to slot into your lazy lifestyle is ignorant and cruel. To any two year sitting in a restaurant is a tough ask but for him it is a sensorial nightmare. Her parents are judgey, po faced but far too indulgent. Both of their daughters have more kids than they did! If you need to give him the phone, it’s fine but autism is a completely different animal, he will not get used to restaurants. You have to lower your expectations, even without the autism she is deluded as to what she expects from her life at the moment.
Yah I’m thinking she’s in for a rude awakening and many a miserable restaurant meal because she thinks this is how it must be . It’s the first time I’ve thought - oh tit, crap parenting alert. Why would you feel guilty about kids having a screen in a restaurant. Get a grip rosemary

Oh no I wouldn't question anyone about their child either. I don't know much about autism, and always thought it was around two children started showing signs. What is ABA then? As I said I don't actually know much about it and am interested in learning more.

because her mother is so judgey. Made her mother read the book, I hope she had a blunt discussion with them about autism.

Check out the Asiam site. Atlas is around 2.

I can’t afford to live in Dublin, so I’ll flounce off and move to the arse end of nowhere in America. I can not understand this mentality. Can’t afford Dublin and have transferable skills? Leave Dublin, there are 25 other counties. In 2018 things were nowhere near as expensive here as now and she’s still comparing herself to her friends in Ireland. Like everything about her, it’s five years out of date.

And the piety of her not wanting to get involved with a married man coupled with the irony of him telling her she knew nothing about him is delicious 😂

Article written by her in the Independent. More or less the same as the others.
But the second-hand embarrassment for the bikini photo with the wide stance and holding the dog’s lead. It’s giving mid-west hick
I thought she would have some genuine exciting dating stories to tell if she feels it was worthy of a book.

But it sounds like dick pics, some one night stands and a marriage (that she’s currently in).

I admire her bravery but I was too distracted by the ugleeee dog (I am not a dog person) and absolutely adorable baby. Again, she was so impressed with herself for using another persons’ talent as a reference for the pictures and is aghast that us fools back in Ireland missed the point. We didn’t Rosemary. We didn’t.

Im baffled though, why was there no or drive for the book? No appearance on other headstuff podcasts, no Ray D’arcy radio interview, was she on Louise McSharry? Newspaper articles came the week after the book was released. Did she miss the boat, to lazy and unorganised or ‘too busy with other work’?

The profile is Imsoexcited. I made a comment 2 her 2 pages back saying if it wasn't her bizzare that her opposing opinions are only to defend herself & slate FBG and Louise mc Sharry & maybe make her profile private and her writing style not so obviously her. And what do you know....
Profile is now private 🤔 and she hasn't commented here since. I'd expect a name change incoming....or new profile set up!

the chunky silver sandals so white trash 🙈🙈🙈 I look forward to her non fiction writing, it will be interesting to read something when the topic isn’t about herself

I don't know if that is her because I saw that user posting something really specific about holiday leave in the public service on cherry Sue's thread and I don't think that's within her realm of knowledge

In the North you can't get an Autism diagnosis before the age of 4 - even if it's as plain as the nose on your face. It's a disgrace when early intervention and support is life changing.

Just one point - and not at the OP - people are born autistic. They don't 'have' autism. They are autistic.
Autism is static - support needs can change over time. A lot of children don't show obvious signs of autism until puberty hits. Some people don't realise/ seek help until later in life.
The same with ADHD.

Some comments on this thread disparaging ADHD diagnoses are really depressing to read for the record and they clearly come from a place of huge ignorance. Women in particular are much less likely to have been diagnosed with ADHD as children from a number of significant societal/ behavioural reasons. The reason we're seeing more people diagnosed now is because now there is a lot more known about how ADHD presents in women. Also lockdown was the perfect storm for ND people who have been unconsciously masking all these years.
Also 'creatives' are more likely to be ND.
