they make me absolutely sick. There is nothing in the world more innocent loving and trusting than a 2 year old, I know, I have one. The detail about a blood and vomit stained onesie just made me fill up. Absolute fuckers the pair of them, hope they have a painful existence.

Not according to these articles. In fact, spousal revenge seems to be the lowest motivator for filicide/infanticide/child homicide. I've copied two articles below but there are many more cited in those that are quite interesting.

Maybe it’s because those are the ones that make the headlines but I’m still livid. Even if she had a pshycotic break it’s the sort of thing I can never forgive

Reminds me of Andrea Yates who drowned her 5 children. She was experiencing post natal psychosis I believe, and not for the first time. I remember hearing about her Dr telling her that if she had another child, basically it would be a ticking time bomb as she would develop PNP again & being absolutely taken aback/horrified that they went ahead and had a 5th child. Now though, I do wonder whether Andrea had any choice in the matter (if you get what I’m saying).

Yeah that was a horrific case. Just very very sad for all involved.
I got the feeling it wasn't her choice to keep having them either.

IIRC she was heavily influenced by her husband and church to keep having kids. They had that fundamentalist Christian ‘if you don’t have lots of children then you’re a failure of a woman’ type outlook.

Is that the American woman?her husband ignored the warnings and wanted her to have more children..He ignored warnings from doctors..I think!religion was at the back of it.I’ve seen crime programs about it it was awfully sad.He was told.
