Pregnancy Off Topic #5 “Are men ok??”

1
Both boys were tag teaming all night. The eldest was scared from a nightmare, wee man has just turned into an hole at night. I almost feel sorry for OH as he does the "night shift" but then I remember what I went through with both pregnancies and births and realise I've done more than my fair share 😂

Currently at the "Oh tit!" phase with wee man. Put him in his bouncy chair, he lent so far forward he was balancing on his head on the floor 🤦‍♀️ Put him on his playmat while I went for a wee. Came back and he'd got himself wedged under the sofa. Little sod had rolled the entire length of the living room, including underneath the coffee table. I was literally gone less than a minute!

Ahh so exciting that the next lot of babies are coming - good luck @Laughalong !

@littlepup I can’t believe how much littlestpup looks like the 4d scan!

it’s exciting to see that babies a few weeks older than mine are starting to sleep through - I can’t wait to have a block of sleep more than 4 hours!

We’ve got our first jabs next week - dreading it !

@Bumblebee2019 they se meant to have a growth spurt around 6 weeks. Mine has just gone through it but we got smiles at the end!

Baby finally had their big poo this morning that they’ve been brewing, I managed to catch it all mid change - I used 5 nappies and countless wipes but didn’t get any on babies clothes or me and I think it’s my proudest moment in life 😂

Does anyone have any recommendations to ease rib pain? It’s so so painful to the point the midwife thought it could be pre-eclampsia especially as it is only on my right side but all tests have came back clear and no other symptoms. Help please😩

guys no one judge my drawing I never said I was an artist 😂 BUT I’ve just seen a TikTok of some girl putting her newborn to bed and it’s baffled me and made me wonder if I’m putting mine in the next to me wrong 😂

so my question is when your baby is asleep next to you are you A - their body faces the same way as yours or B - their feet are closest to your face??
I hope this makes sense 😂

😂😂 love the drawing, we're A so we all lie in the same direction. But I dunno what's right? That just feels right for us hahaha

Not had my baby yet but I would have thought A too. That's how I have pictured it in my head.

Baby not here yet but I would say A, I feel like B their face would be too far away to see

Baby isn’t here yet but I would’ve gone with A, although seeing that drawing I guess B makes sense as it would be easier to lift them out or quickly see their face? Mind blown😂

That picture is amazing!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a clear scan.

Hope you get a good stint of sleep tonight. We’re still living the feeding every 1.5-2hours through the night. I’m hoping one day soon he’ll give me a longer stint 🤞🏻
It’s so hard having broken sleep let alone little of it but it will get better. Is baby crying out to feed or just making lots of noise? If they’re just moving a lot and grumbling have you tried leaving them to try to resettle I’d say it worked about half the time with my first, this one, pretty much if they wake they’re up but might be worth trying.

Baby slept well again but I’m under no illusions that the 4 month regression won’t kick my arse 🙈 I think the swaddle is responsible, we won’t be able to use it for much longer but I’ll take it while it lasts.

I do a or b depending what arm they fall asleep on. I can see their face better B.
I use my cousins next2me and when they saw my oldest laid like B they were 🤯 astonished it’s never occurred to them even though it’s easier to get them out. Their second baby they did B and could never get over how they didn’t think of it before 🤣

A bit of both! Sometimes it’s proper crying other times it’s noise. I might try and leave him if I think it’s just fuss 🤞🏻 We’re getting a few night time poos at the moment too which adds to the disruption!

We used to do B when we had the reflux wedge on our next to me cus that’s the end it went on but since I took that off we do A and I prefer it that way cus he can see me when he stirs and it settles him.

What I don’t know about the next to me is am I supposed to sleep facing him in it all night or can I turn away? 🤣

I feel dead rude when I turn me back to her! Then me four year old gets in the bed I have to turn my back to him! Feel like i’m playing favourites, sometimes I lie on my back to play it safe 😂

We did B with both, couldn't see their faces the other way round.

Oh. I was gonna do B 😂 purely because my bedside table means their head wouldn’t be level with mine so I can’t see them properly!

But Rasp has made a very good point about them being able to see you to settle better. Might have to rethink!!
