Is it worth getting one even if planning on breastfeeding? Don’t fully understand how they work still, they sound complicated

Yes people sell them used on vinted for £20 so if you didn’t use it you could probably sell it for what you’d pay

Little bear cub arrived this morning at 06:22. A very traumatic experience for us, completely different from my first quick easy labour. Ended up with an emergency section and under general anaesthetic, so not what I had ever imagined, but we are safe and well and that’s all that matters.

Oh! And we have a boy… 7lbs13oz

Congratulations! Hope you are able to take some time to process it all and recover. Enjoy those cuddles with your gorgeous boy

Congrats @Lioness1 - sorry the birth wasn’t as you hoped. Make sure you get a debrief booked in if you feel it will help - I’ve got mine in a few weeks. I think it takes time to process and I’m still not there.

How often do people wash / sterilise their stuff in a day? I tend to do it as I go as opposed to letting it stack up but I think it’s because I only have one pump and four bottles - I feel like I’m constantly doing it !

Once a day we do a big bottle and rapid cool wash. Dummies get chucked in as they get dropped on the floor and i do the toys he chews probably once a week unless they’ve gone on the floor rather than the sofa/his play gym

I’m the same as you, I do them as I go so as soon as I’ve pumped or he’s had a bottle it gets washed and put in the steriliser. I absolutely hate doing the bottles and I found when I was leaving them until the end of the day I hated it even more I also have a really small kitchen so I felt like when the dirty bottles were all lined up waiting to be washed and sterilised it was getting in my way

I do a big bottle wash once a day, if you had a cold water steriliser they only need washing and the cold water replacing every 24 hours

Bottle washing is legit the worst job

The cold water steriliser is great, it has made things easier. When I was using the microwave one it made me want to stick my head in the microwave with it I hated it

I think the baby has woken up and decided to punish me today. So far he’s pulled my hair, done a wee on me, pooed through onto an outfit he’d only been wearing 5 mins and then done a mr whippy on my hand when I was wiping his bum. It can only get better, right?

My pet hate is washing and putting together my pumps. But again I love the Milton!

I think my baby is brewing a massive poo, just hoping when it happens it’s contained in the nappy !

I had a 4D scan yesterday. It was the best moment of pregnancy so far. It was amazing and I came away with so many photos and videos. Baby looks exactly like my husband!

And today is the first day of my 3rd trimester! I just want him here now so I can squeeze him.
