I agree, this seems insane? My notes are all digital but surely your hospital number/DOB is all they need. If you colllapsed in the street when not pregnant and got rushed to hospital they wouldn’t need your medical history on a piece of paper…!

It’s daft isn’t it? All I did today was give my name and they found me!

I’m much more likely to lose my notes by carting them about so I only bring them to official pre booked appointments. They don’t do this for any other speciality that I’m aware of so I’m not sure why they do it overall 🤔

Doesnt everyone have the badger app or is that just in Scotland? I don't have any paper notes but everything is in the app and all my notes get updated and appointments get added to it. It's a bit slow and annoying to navigate but it's all on my phone which is easier.

Yep, I have this in SE England. It’s great!

I’ve had my 32 week growth scan today and they’ve estimated she’s about 4lb10oz and they said everything’s normal which I’m so grateful for! Was wondering if anyone had the same size baby for 32 weeks and if so what did they weight when born? I see a big baby in my future lol!

She’s also breech but they aren’t worried until 36 weeks but I’m a bit worried about it, did anyone else have this?

I'm just repeating the advice of one of the top gynaecologists in the UK. He went mad at his wife and made her carry them everywhere! I also chose to take his advice.

When though? Everything is moving on to systems. When I had my first 6 years ago everything was notes based but now there’s a digital transition happening throughout the country. I had my second last year and whilst my trust wasn’t fully paperless some already were.

When I had my daughter 17 months ago it was notes notes notes and still is apparently at the hospital I gave birth at. That being said, I had to go to A&E when I was 14 weeks pregnant and offered everyone Inc the drunk on the floor (no, really) my notes and nobody wanted to look through them 🙃

I don't want to scaremonger, but there have been times when whole NHS IT networks have gone down for days at a time. There are obviously back up systems in place, but they store less info than the main systems. It probably won't be an issue because it's a rare occurence, but there's no harm in having some basic info (expected due date, health issues/allergies) on a hard copy just in case.

I hate how recognisable the paper notes are here. My neighbours found out about my pregnancy before most of my family just because they saw me getting out of the car with the folder after my booking appointment 😂

My trust don't have any electronic notes or an app - everything is paper in the mama academy A5 folder I got given at my booking appointment.

All the reports I've had after scans are printed and given to me and it just lives in my handbag.

However my midwife is utterly useless so it wouldn't surprise me if after my next appointment (which is with a different midwife) that I get told there is an app or something else I should be using 🙃

My midwife is useless too. I haven't seen her yet cause she's been on holiday and then had to move an appointment. I'll see her for the first time at 32 weeks.

At my 28 week appointment, I wasn't even asked how I was really doing or how my mental health was. It was a quick weight, BP, and blood and that was it.

I was told to take my notes everywhere. Mine weren’t online. I think it’s just easier to hand them a copy they can flick through rather than them having to open everything on a computer, it saves time in short appointments and is just easier to navigate. When in for reduced movements, the monitoring room didn’t have a computer point on so there’s that too I guess, access to the system.

I wonder if we have the same Midwife as mine is on holiday and moved mine too!

Are you in the midlands? 🤔

After hysterically crying to my boyfriend last week because I couldn’t feel movement, this baby won’t stop moving! I don’t know if it’s because I’m off work at the minute and not as busy but she just doesn’t stop and I swear I just felt either her foot or her head about to come through the side of my stomach
