I'm just 28 weeks so I'm annoyed that we didn't book our trip a week earlier (just going to visit family). My midwife called back to say it's only £30 instead of £50 but still seems a lot.
I just didn’t tell the airline I was pregnant and wore a baggy jumper… of course if anything happened on the flight it was the first thing my husband would have told them. But they didn’t ask and I didn’t tell🤷🏼‍♀️

The only issue with this is that if anything happened to you, the airline or airport wouldn’t be liable for anything if you didn’t have a F2F certificate. Obviously it’s unlikely but worth bearing in mind depending on how long the flight is and if you have any health issues

I think I know the answer to this but I'm not sure I've felt the baby move today and my stomach feels so tight and achey. I should call triage shouldn't I to see what they say? Silly question too, if they ask me to go in will they see me without my maternity notes? My notes are at home but I pass by the hospital on my way home from the office so it makes sense to go straight there from work.

Just call and reassure yourself ☺️ I’ve never needed my notes, it’s always been fine

Painting the nursery this week while we’re both off and it’s killing me lmao glad we haven’t left it until later. I’ve only done the bottom half of the walls and it’s took us two days to get two coats on - when we first moved in I painted three rooms in two days 😂

28 weeks but I don’t feel the baby kick much. I read online that you should feel your baby move more or less every hour but I only feel her move mornings and evenings. Is anyone else in the same boat? I have a posterior placenta
Just to say in my first pregnancy I didn’t feel much movement at all and no real pattern. I started working myself up about it to the point I went in for reduced movements and discovered what I had mostly been feeling as movement was actually him hiccuping.

Every pregnancy/baby is different so the amount of movement will be too. I’m 24w and this baby moves a lot more even at this stage than my first ever did! He would move a little at night, occasionally after a meal.

What would be worrying is establishing a pattern and then it stopping or dropping dramatically. Also having something sweet, or a very cold drink is supposed to be a way of generating more movement.

If you are worried always go in to be checked. When you call up they tend to ask if you’ve sat quietly to monitor the movements as obviously we don’t always consciously recognise them when we’re on the go.

Turns out (which I didn't know) is the doctor won't sign the letter if you have a low lying placenta. So I need to go back in tomorrow for another scan so see if my placenta has moved before they decide if they'll sign it for me.

I called them and was advised to go in. All is fine thankfully! He even got the hiccups whilst I was hooked up to the CTG.

I have had a stinking cold the last few days with a cough my partner keeps telling me to see a dr cause of baby but I know its just a cold. Would you see a dr

Can anyone recommend a good changing bag for on the go? ☺

babymel bags are gorgeous!

Feeling so lonely this week, I’ll be 31 weeks this week so all the support and excitement at the start has just completely gone. Nobody checks on how I am, my husbands family never bother with us anymore (my family are far away) and just struggling with low moods and pain 🥲🥲🥲

I'm sorry you're feeling like that this week. I think it's hard when all the excitement dies down a bit. I feel like I got lots of sympathy at the start because I was so sick, but no one bothers too much about how I feel now (aside from my partner and one friend). It just doesn't hit home with my mum when I tell her how sore the ligament pain has been. I feel like she's more concerned with looking at baby clothes in the shops than how I might be feeling.

Aw yeah I feel like a lot of the older family
Members forget how hard it is sometimes as well! Sorry your mums being like that :( x

Sorry everyone. My friend is married to a top gynaecologist. YOU MUST TAKE YOUR NOTES ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE WITH YOU. I made a folder with old family baby photos on it and carried it in a large handbag. If something happens to you, the notes MUST go with you. OK, the chances are hopefully very slim (not for me, I have a 53% chance of miscarriage ☹️). But if you collapse at work/Tesco, who is going to think to go to your car to get your notes? Carry them everywhere

I forgot my notes once at a scan and I got really told off by the consultant - but everything was on the system anyway… which made the telling off feel really unnecessary and self-indulgent of the consultant to do. I think in terms of movement they’d rather see you with no notes and make sure baby is okay than you delay going for some notes. Take a photo/put your NHS number in your phone so they can at least find your notes on the system easier but I wouldn’t worry too much. Baby’s safety comes first.

I’m literally in my local day unit now for an emergency check up.. and I didn’t need my notes, no one has asked for them, and I wasn’t asked to bring them / told I need them either 😂 I’ve been more times than I can count as well and it’s never been an issue

Your hospital will be able to identify you by name and NHS number so there is no need to panic! I would be more inclined to have my phone set up with emergency contacts / details in my bag for those kinds of situations

Thanks for tbe recommended and I'm so sorry you're feeling like that. It feels like towards the end, everyone's only really thinking about the baby and not how mum is doing. Hope your low moods and pain gets better soon ❤️

I was seen without my notes but they did tell me to try and keep them on me moving forward. Does seem weird to me to take my notes to the office and back but I guess it also makes sense, so I will try and do it from now on.

I agree, this seems insane? My notes are all digital but surely your hospital number/DOB is all they need. If you colllapsed in the street when not pregnant and got rushed to hospital they wouldn’t need your medical history on a piece of paper…!
