I have the bairn sleeping in the Joie travel cot at night and he’s very comfy in it. Added another mattress though as the original is a little hard.

Feeling very emotional today. Found out yesterday we're going to have to pull out of purchasing our dream home and feel really disappointed in myself for not being able to secure a better paid job (was offered one and they retracted it, current job said I'm not worth the same money as others doing the same job) and I feel like it's all my fault for letting down my boys. Had one of the Baby Academy classes this morning and was having a nightmare with toddler potty training so was only half listening but ended up feeling very overwhelmed and having a panic attack. Tried to hide in the loo to calm down and my toddler just followed me. OH has zero patience with him especially with the potty training struggles and then had a go at me because I didn't want to take a free twin pram when we don't need one. On top of that I'm not sleeping because I've had chronic rib pain for months. Don't know what to do 😔
Are you feeling any better?

My friend recently picked up an Ikea high chair for free on market place then jazzed it up with some lovely bits from a company called cove baby. It looks amazing, hoping to do similar when we need one!

Currently nearly 15 weeks and I’m still so so tired. I’m wondering when or if this fatigue will lift?!

I feel ya. I’m a little over 16 weeks and I’ve never felt exhaustion like this before! I really hope I get a burst of energy soon as I enjoyed the 2nd Trimester the most in my first pregnancy!

I’m really hoping for that second trimester energy too! This is my first and I honestly feel like I’ve been hit by a bus, I have a nap most days and struggle a lot in the working week.

I am thank you. Went to another Baby Academy class yesterday and had the same panic/anxiety feeling and I'm wondering if it's just being so focused on the new baby that it's causing the same anxiety I had when I had my first. Fortunately for me I've been offered a promotion at work, bit late to sort out the new house but does mean we'll be in a better position to move next year.

Thank you all for sharing that you’re also all very tired! I’ve been starting to feel like I need to just sort myself out or that the second trimester glow will do it for me. I’ll stick to my naps and attempting to be a functioning human knowing I’m in good company 😂

I’m 35 weeks and exactly the same. I feel like I use up all my energy at work and then the weekends I’m good for nothing. Felt a bit overwhelmed earlier that I could potentially have another 7 weeks of feeling like this if I go over. Everyone kept saying after Christmas it’ll fly but doesn’t feel like that 🤣 cannot wait to finish work!

I’m lucky that I work for myself and mainly work from home so don’t have a commute to worry about, if I had I’d be missing my stop every night.. also super lucky I only have tiredness and no morning sickness.. 😁

Same as yourself 35 weeks. I feel like it's dragging and flying all at the same time. I keep seeing baby tiktoks and sobbing 🤪

Enjoy! 😁 what are you doing for it? My friends have started pestering me about having one but I don’t have a clue what to do for it 😅
Thank you. It was a lovely afternoon. I didn’t know what we were doing but had said I didn’t want a baby shower “shower” if you know what I mean. just a lunch with close family / friends. They booked a private dining room at a restaurant I like and we all had a meal and played some of the typical games like how well do you know me and advice for the mum etc. It was really nice.
and now today is my first day of not getting up and going to work 🙈 time to start getting baby organised !!

That sounds lovely. I’m hoping for that kind of thing too, I think. But leaving it to my mum & best friend to organise because I’m still not sure I even want one so I don’t know what they’ll come up with 😅

must be so weird starting maternity! How long til your due date?
