Completely hate this brand now. 44k members on the 'popsy frocks and friends' group. (which you are encouraged to join if you buy a dress. I mean wtf!?!) Your feed is then taken up with the same 30 or so 'contributors' who are generally really vulnerable people who are sharing everything online and buy every single dress🤑. The dresses aren't even that great, it really isn't right the bobbling issue after having a work lanyard around your neck.
I'm out! But might come back to witch. 🫣

Can someone post screenshots from the group? 😅

Pick from one of the following:

1. Clearly vulnerable woman who claims to be poor has just posted photos of her squeezed into seven different dresses that just arrived and wants opinions. One looks ok but the rest look pretty bad. Everyone says she looks amazing and shouldn't return any of them.
2. Man in a dress posts picture of themselves with coloured balding hair, looking just like a man in a dress. Might be the one with the leg fetish who mostly posts just his legs in tights. Lots of "stunning and brave" comments telling them they're beautiful.
3. This week's releases have been posted. Lots of comments like "want this one but in a wrap" "love this, flat waist please" or someone saying "have just fallen on my keyboard and bought all of them, oops! Don't tell my husband!!!"
4. POPSY IN THE WILD!!!!!!!!!

I think Cherish is the Oversharer in Chief. I don't believe anything about her past anxiety, it's a marketing tactic. She's definitely got over it now that she's won business awards and is always trumpeting on about them. And I think she's manipulative for creating a business which creates spending addictions for fast fashion amongst vulnerable people! Don't even get me started about the cheap shoes and bags and the prices they charge.

Absolutely this. I am generally suspicious of most people's 'stories' and I get a real sense of bull 💩 with Cherish. All credit to her and her husband for making a successful business out of people's vulnerability and judging by the frequent very £££ holidays (in the last 12 months, they have been to Dubai, Florida and are somewhere exotic at the moment) they have and the new house they moved into, it is clearly very successful 🤷‍♀️ and when everyone is having to economise, it seems slightly inappropriate to shove your holidays in people's faces.

I do buy Popsy dresses but not the wacky prints - I stick to florals and animal prints (as in not actual animals - honestly, how many cat and dog prints can you have) because I love brightly coloured clothes and dresses and there are a couple of styles which do suit me really well. I also have a rucksack (even though I know it is really childish but I loved the colours and pattern and it does actually seem well made) plus I bought some slippers and they are genuinely the most comfortable slippers I have ever had!

But the group is just awful! So many oversharers - yes the woman with the son is the absolute worst! I am constantly baffled by people who think the world needs a minute by minute account of their days 🙄 and the men in dresses (and 🙈 to the one who posts a lot of photos of his legs) are certainly interesting.

I do constantly live in fear of having Popsy in the wild shouted at me 🤣🤣

Willing to bet my house that this didn't actually happen.

There’s loads of that “people told me my shoes were stupid and ugly” stuff in Irregular Choice groups too. I think people just really crave attention and they want to be told they look nice. Everyone is seeking validation. I don’t doubt that some of them have happened but I really don’t believe they all did lol

Yeah but these are people standing up posing for a pic! My belts ride up when I sit (which is why I don’t use them generally) but if I was posing for a pic I’d pull it down.
It's because the dresses are too small usually..so their boobs are taking up fabric that should be on their lower ribcage and then the belt loops and the belt which should be at the waist is pulled right up.
Or this is their slimmest point, smaller than their waists/bellies (there's a reason A line dresses sell well in plus sizes) so they hoik it up in the belief this makes them look like they have a smaller waist rather than actually do.
I'm very fat myself so not saying this to be snarky but after 15+ years of seeing outfit of the day in online body positive groups you see these same things happen over and over
