These dresses are awful, so so mumsy. And the cult-like obsession is so bizarre - they are the emperor’s new clothes. Even the name is wank - “Popsy”, ugh.

There is actually a wide range of prints and styles so I wouldn’t classify them as mumsy. I do find some prints hideous but each to their own o guess?
Agree the name is wank. It just sounds so twee and cringey!

Especially when from posts on groups like that I have learnt that some people don’t wear knickers with tights(so I presume the same goes for underpops)

I would assume so. I can’t imagine leaving the house without knickers on, I’d feel completely exposed

The only ones I think I’d wear would be the plain or stripe ones. I think the problem with a lot of the prints is that it’s those small ditsy prints, which tend to look quite dated and frumpy. Also there are some OK prints but they’ve been put on a boring black or navy background which just doesn’t work with the design.

Their sizing is way off so you can order smaller than you would normally and if you dont mix with other cult members you look like a bit of a tit in them. I tried one on and look ridiculous so sent it back (which they charge you for)

Should I post this in the Snag/Popsy group 😆

A friend recommended these dresses as I do like a print but they just look a bit twee and middle aged to me, and I'm pushing 40! The material and length don't help. Also, I do have some snag tights (black only) and chub rub shorts I've had for ages, never knew they were so sought after!

"How can I make my daughter wear a Popsy like her mum?"

Not. Every. Event. Needs. A. Popsy.

I can’t even imagine an 18 year old rocking up to a wedding in a bloody Popsy dress, looking like a supply teacher. Last wedding I went to, my teenage/early 20s nieces wore beautiful mini and strapless dresses from places like Zara and ASOS.

Even if you were a Popsy fan, they’re not really dressy or special enough for a wedding unless it was quite a casual event.

I saw that, loved when the mum shared a photo of the floor length emerald green gown with split to the thigh that her daughter had wanted to wear and someone went "if this is what she likes she won't want a popsy" lol! I think her boyfriend was the best man too so he'll be dressed fancy. No Popsy is doing that!

Sick of seeing this balding man wearing popsy dresses and being told he looks gorgeous. No he doesn’t. Just stop.

I think this is the one where somebody thought they were being all ‘right on’ and saying how it was great they felt comfortable to wear a dress and men should wear whatever they want. Cue a load more people saying no it’s a women and a she! Mind blown. TBH Popsy probably isn’t the usual go to for TW.

There seem to be a few men/ TW on there...or else some very masculine looking biological women!

The FB group has a very odd vibe, describing it as a cult is spot on. I am staggered by women having 30-40 Popsy dresses (or more). I don't own 30+ dresses in total, let alone from one particular company.

The popsypretty and Popsy in the wild thing is so cringe too. There are a couple of prints that seem ok but the style of most of the dresses is horrible and flatters no one!
