Didn’t realise this thread was active again. 😂
I do buy their dresses, but don’t participate in the group anymore, as it got the point I was quite frankly sick of seeing photos of the same faces week in week out and the way it got to the point you couldn’t say anything without being accused of upsetting somebody for any tiny reason.

Had a look on the group today and had to laugh at the sheer frenzy about the new Rainbow/multi coloured stripes (depending on your over zealous opinion on the group 😂) and how folks are losing their minds over it. Remembered why I stopped commenting on there.

I bought a dress from them recently and I really love it. But that’s not the trend for me lol,

I couldn’t decide whether that rainbow one was cute or fugly

The one I couldn‘t understand was that sparkly Christmas dress that everyone went crazy over but I didn’t see a single photo where it suited anyone. Even Cherish 🤷‍♀️

Those Christmas dresses are so dull and cheap looking. Surely a velvet dress would be better than cheap looking sparkly fabric?

They also did some Xmas prints and they just look like standard Popsy dresses. From a distance they all look the same.

Yes it was shapeless on everyone and looks so shite in photos. I got the red velvet one and it was like it was tailor made. I got so many compliments and brought me right back to being 12 and wearing a velvet outfit for Christmas!

As I've said here, some of the dresses are nice (I've plain navy one and an animal print one and they look great for work) and I've never had a problem with bobbling material. But most of the dresses are ott and the group is like the weirdest thing ever. Like people watching in a crazy coffee shop.

I had a look in the sale but everything I like is out of stock. Can’t remember when I last bought one it’s been that long. I do like bright colours and my style is quirky (but I’m fussy) and I think that rainbow dress looks really unflattering. I also hate animal print and I would never wear anything with Guinea pigs or dogs on etc. I also can’t stand the ones that were for the jubilee and coronation or any specific theme, I just find it too cliche.

I once bought a pre-loved dress and when I got it, it was baggy and mis-shaped due to the previous owner squeezing in a size that was too small.

How can anyone have to squeeze into a popsy their bloody massive -😂😂😂 vanity sizing at its best.

Have just seen someone asking for a size 10 in a particular dress - they have a size 14 but want a size 10. Photo of them in said size 14 which looks like it fits perfectly 🤦‍♀️ is there really so little difference in the sizes??

Also, the sample sales they have are always for size 6 people - so much for body positivity! I do understand why samples are size 6 in terms of costs etc but still seems very cliquey 🤷‍♀️

Yeah it did look Frugi. The scandi thing is another strange ‘clothing fandom’ I can’t fathom either though but from what I can gather the resale value there has plummeted perhaps a sign of things to come.
I kinda liked the scandi things for the kids up to about 4 because of the bright colours but there's definitely an age limit on them for me. I never understand the families that only were scandi stuff either, must be so expensive.

Yeah the duns crazy people on the babipur site! The Facebook group for popsy is unlike any of the others though, cult is definitely the right word for popsy fanatics.

Yup. I've been blacklisted from every popsy group now. 🤔 A loyal cult member that messaged me (and her family members) that didn't like a comment I'd made on group and tried to change my opinion. I never initiated ANY chat and didn't reply except initially to say we'd never agree. It's fricking bizarre.
Can't sell the few dresses I had now for the price I paid. 🤣🫣

Yes I liked Scandi and other colourful clothes like Little Bird when my kids were little but some people took it to another level. They'd get proper obsessive over getting discontinued styles in other sizes for when kids outgrew them or for siblings to match. Also acting like it was the end of the world when their kids aged out of the clothes cos they didn't like anything else. Internet cults over things fascinate me, I reckon it'd be a great dissertation/thesis idea for anyone in social sciences.

That is nuts! Someone has gone through all the groups and removed you?
