Pencil dress?
There seem to be a few men/ TW on there...or else some very masculine looking biological women!
The FB group has a very odd vibe, describing it as a cult is spot on. I am staggered by women having 30-40 Popsy dresses (or more). I don't own 30+ dresses in total, let alone from one particular company.
The popsypretty and Popsy in the wild thing is so cringe too. There are a couple of prints that seem ok but the style of most of the dresses is horrible and flatters no one!
They can wear what they like but I find the fawning of hundreds of women telling a man with male pattern baldness that he is popsy pretty sickeningI’ve made friends with one of the trans women on there. I genuinely like her, we have something in common that’s not Popsy (we’re both big rugby fans and often chat about results) One of my closest friends is trans so I like to think I’m an ally but I don’t go OTT.

The other day I heard the term yasslighting - where people will do the whole yass queen slay thing with people who look like tit - and there’s a lot of it on Popsy.

You would probably find me sickening then. They can wear what they like but I find the fawning of hundreds of women telling a man with male pattern baldness that he is popsy pretty sickening
I wouldn’t find you sickening at all, my friend has a type of hormonal alopecia and is beautiful. Hers isn’t male pattern. Although I would never bring myself to say popsy pretty, I could never bring myself to say that phrase, beyond twee! You would probably find me sickening then.
I’m cis female from birth but I have alopecia so yes I’m bald. When I do have hair I have what’s called male pattern baldness as the pattern of my alopecia is such as that’s what it looks like. Male pattern baldness is not restricted to men. There’s others on there who also have alopecia and some who are having chemo. Why is baldness such a problem to you?
Some trans women choose to keep their own hair and not wear wigs. I don’t blame them, wigs are horrid itchy hot and uncomfortable.
I do agree with you on the Popsy pretty thing to be fair. I’ve never said it either and never would!I wouldn’t find you sickening at all, my friend has a type of hormonal alopecia and is beautiful. You misunderstand that my issue is not being follicularly challenged, but the fact that women are falling over themselves to tell someone called Linda etc who is quite clearly a man in a dress that “she” is beautiful and looks amaaaazing. You’re a woman, which is the crucial difference. What your hair is like or lack of it is not important to me.You would probably find me sickening then.

Yes this woman was the one who changed everything in that group if I remember rightly. As soon as cherish supported her, people started doing that really over the top “OMG YOU LOOK INCREDIBLE” to any TW in there. I’m not saying she shouldn’t have got the support - she should have. What has me irked is that handmaidens going bleeping crazy now and screaming “YOU LOOK AMAZING” especially loud if the person is trans. It’s the unwavering “I WORSHIP THE GROUND YOU WALK ON” which bothers me, not trans people being in the group.
I know who you mean too. She has moved on, basically I think she has become more confident in herself and is experimenting with her look more, which I think is great.Actually no- I know who it is you’re thinking of but it’s not her. The person who I think you’re referring to has actually pretty much left the group now as she’s moved on. She does post occasionally but she admitted herself she’s moved on.
Spot on. I used to be like that, desperate for Popsy approval but I’ve moved right on now. I still have some Popsys- I think five now plus the black blazer (I do love a blazer so I probably would have bought that anyway) and two pairs of longpops (I need high waist leggings and these are superbly high waist- but both are just plain black. If I could find another place that sold similar I would happily use them, it’s just unfortunate that Popsy make exactly what I need)I know who you mean too. The problem with the group is too many people use the group/brand as a crutch for insecurity. It's not a crutch, it is a business making a lot of money off these vulnerable women.
Lose the popsy cult Facebook group, they would lose money. It's sick.
Wow 80! That is a lot of money!Spot on. I used to be like that, desperate for Popsy approval but I’ve moved right on now. I used to have about 80 Popsy’s at the height of my Popsy obsession and I sold them all. I’m happy with the five I’ve got (one of which is in memory of a dear friend- the dress has her name and I bought it on the anniversary of the day she passed) I think they need to go back to what they do best though if you can call it that. The shoes and bags etc- nah.
