Owen Jones

Seem bizarre to mention someone's job in a wedding announcement. It's giving me "I'm looking for a guy in finance" energy.

Only seems like the other day he was bemoaning that he couldn't afford his mortgage being recently single.

Yeah and him the big socialist, he wouldn't impressed with titles like doctor and wouldn't be bragging about them either  ...you know I think he might be a closet Daily Mail reader.

Now he’s married to a doctor, I assume Little OJ will position himself as some sort of NHS expert. Be prepared for lots of tweets about ‘ackually I’m married to a doctor’ next time someone disagrees with him.
These are the worst types of people, I would never claim to be an expert on something purely because my partner is. A couple we know do this, he's a builder and often she will spout off with complete authority about construction matters. Fortunately he is the type who doesn't care about correcting her when she starts talking rhubarb on the subject which has caused some fairly amusing moments.

Plus it's kind of insulting as not everyone in any industry/sector works and thinks the same. So just because 'his' Dr would think one way, doesn't mean he speaks for the whole NHS

Don't forget that OJ was also an 'expert' on Huw Edwards too. Pathetically jumping to his defence, when not in full possession of the known facts.

As a result, OJ made himself look an even bigger twit than he already was.

And what's really awful about that is that gay men have long been called peedos. It's absolutely careless and regressive to try and normalise something like that, whether it's 'illegal' or not. He is playing into homophobic hands

This exactly, if Huw started chatting to the vulnerable teen when he was 17 but then only paid for explicit images once he reached 18 then yes it might not be illegal. But it makes little material difference in the whole ghastly thing. It's not quite the mic drop moment people like Owen think it is.

I'm quite enjoying twitter today 😆

He and others like him just don't get it do they? They don't get they're part of the problem.

If the Democrats had focused more on what concerned most people (e.g. the economy) and what they would do they would probably have won (if they had a plan for that of course). Instead they just kept saying the same things over and over and went with emotion over practicalities.

People can't afford to care about a candidates personality when they're struggling to make ends meet etc.

He's now re-writing his history and going on about he knew the Democrats were going to lose and in hindsight making "hot takes" that are blatantly obvious to everyone (apart from Madonna).

The brass neck of him  . He really overestimates his own intelligence over the general public.

Grifting for his journalism on the ground in the US.

I wonder if he's got a visa to work in the US? Even on a B visa this is definitely not allowed and goes way beyond attending conferences and events.

He's claiming to be a journalist in his bio and username, but yet working for himself rather than representing an organisation. So the right visa for this work I think would be quite difficult to get?

He really does have an inflated opinion of himself, and a massive superiority complex.

He either isn't as intelligent and in touch with the real world as he thinks, or he is an appaling communicator when posting and commenting. It has to be one or the other as he is so often 'misunderstood'
