I think the way she felt the need to decorate the balcony to her liking rang alarm bells for me, it's not her flat and it is a temporary solution. Why does everything need decorating?!

Exactly. She went into that flat like a bull in a china shop, taking over and trying to put her stamp on everything. If it were me, I would have deferred to Freddie and treaded very lightly. But her controlling nature wouldn’t allow that. She was trying to remake the entire place to her liking. Not cool with everyday roommates let alone a future family member. Have some respect and consideration!

100%! In the bedroom, sure, go nuts. But in the balcony and living space? There's no need to take it over with a million plants and photos of Nimbobs and Joeyyyy.
 
It’s possible it’s a break or something else. But the heartbreak book is definitely an indicator. It’s unlikely she’ll say anything until after the launch of smartskin in the hope it doesn’t tarnish the work of two years worth. Or She could do an Amelia
who launched her second jewellery line after her breakup because she gained around 30k followers in a week.

you have to remember Niomi idolises Audrey Hepburn traits of classic elegance, kindness/positivity and inner wisdom/beauty etc. But unfortunately in following that persona in its entirety you lose your own individuality and personality. She’s probably thought what would Audrey do in this situation, and has carried on being ‘positive’ and ‘classy’ about the situation. It’s strange to think what would have caused it. Between July 31st and August something has happened or maybe it was all along. He doesn’t look very happy in the moving to London vlog and walks out the bedroom as soon as she enters filming. Having friends who’ve gone through this, when a man is unemployed for any reason one can become bitter and resentful inside, it’s natural and normal. However, The strain of lockdown and losing a job upon reflection, it looks like he’s lost more than her in this relationship.... jobs/ money on extravagant dinners and holidays and gifts. She’s probably come to the rescue and paid for it all which does more damage than good on a male need to want to provide. Her and Amelia seem to share common signs of co-dependency on their partners. Anyways who am I to know!
 
I’m sure there is some uncertainty for Joe in terms of what exactly will come next and when and how it will look in the age of COVID, but he has no actual worries on the job front and ‘providing’. His career was a hookup thanks to his dad and he will be handed his next job in the same field doing whatever he likes, if it hasn’t been already. Guys like Joe are set for life, they just have to hold our their hand.

Yeh, not sure why people are saying they may not have broken up. I wouldn't buy a book about dealing with heartbreak and how to heal unless the relationship was done.
 
Clearly gifted as Frow also received something from them, but niomi can’t declare it as gifted!?
at least she has a green stone if the ring went back 😐

Hi everyone! Long time lurker of the forums but first time posting. I used to like Niomi's content and even bought her 'Eat Smart' cookbook (I never buy YouTuber stuff) but went off it after realising her attitude to eating and exercise is really concerning.

I do think Joe has broken up with her, or at the very least called off the wedding: lockdown has brought a lot of relationships to an end and I think while they were having their adventure in India they could ignore any glaring issues but now there's nothing to distract them. Living with Freddie was probably the straw that broke the camel's back. It's easy for Niomi to control her environment and what she and Joe eat while it's just the two of them and she's doing the cooking but I would imagine Freddie wasn't too happy about her treating the place like her own and maybe Joe even wanted to hang out with his brother and eat with him and it turned into a row. I think the trip back to her family home was literally just taking a break but now Joe has blindsided her and broke it off. He probably had time to think while she was away and has realised he's not happy with the way things are.

If that is the case, I do feel a bit sorry for her as she was obviously besotted with Joe. I hope that she uses this as a wake-up call to get some help. She quite clearly has full-blown orthorexia at this point and that has probably been the catalyst in the breakdown of two relationships that we know of, since Marcus said he was on the verge of an eating disorder himself. She needs help.

Let’s be honest, the only reason Joey proposed when he did was because he thought it was the right thing to do. This girl was picking up her whole life and moving to India with/ for him. No one could have predicted 2020. If Joe had known they’d only be in India for three months, I’m sure he wouldn’t have felt the need to put a ring on it.
