Not to sound like a broken record but could those struggling with feeds need to up the teat size (if bottle fed?). Baby burrito refused to bf from exactly 12 weeks so I know it’s a struggle around that time 😫

Has anyone ever taken a 3 or 4 month old to a wedding? One that involved travel and overnight stays too?

My brother is getting married next year, they’re hoping to book something for June or July I think. I’m due no.2 late feb/early March and the thought of taking a 3 or 4 month old + a 2 year old to a wedding sounds not fun 😂

It would also be a 4 or 5 hour journey away (and even longer with added stops for little ones) and then I guess we would want a 2 night stay when we get there.

I feel a bit bad because I think there really isn’t many from our family going and my parents seem to think we should/could do it but it just sounds a bit of a stupid idea to us?

I’m not wrong in thinking it’s a stupid idea am I?
I’d probably look large and unattractive in everything at that point still 😬

As others have said, I think the 2 year old will be the one to worry about 😅 we took baby bandit to a wedding abroad the day he turned 5 months old and I was really worried but he was fine - we spoke to my SIL beforehand to ask to be sat right by the door in the ceremony in case he cried and I needed to take him out (but he slept through it), and he got overwhelmed during the speeches because of loud laughter and clapping but I just gently put my hands over his ears and he starting cooing happily instead! He even slept through the evening reception because we tucked comforters around his ears! The suggestion of your partner taking the kids back to the hotel in the evening and you having a bit of time with your family sounds like a great plan ❤️

I’ve already gone up a size which resolved it temporarily and going bigger leads to spilling out the sides of the mouth.

When did you all change your baby’s pram from parent facing to world facing? Baby burrito is 9 months so I imagine it’s going to be soon, but I don’t know if I’m ready 😭

My hubby asked me that yesterday, little fella is only past 6m and we literally only changed to his big boy seat.
Anyway my response is when he gets upset and probably getting frustrated. He's fairly nosey so I don't think I'll get long with him facing me but I'll be reluctant to move him until he tells me

Baby fudge is 9 months and I mix it up depending what I’m feeling like and where we’re going😆 if we’re going somewhere where there’s lots to look at I’ll turn him having out but if it’s just a quick walk I’ll face him to me

Baby biscuit is 21 months old* now, and I still have her facing me most of the time when we use the "big pram." I like a chat, and it means she can have a snack while we walk. I also feel like it keeps her face out of the fumes of all the idiots parked up on the school run with their engines running.

When I had my first, the health visitor told me that there were some theories that keeping them facing you can aid with speech development, because they can hear you better, and watch your face as you speak. I don't know how true that is though.

(*I know, I should really move on from here now 😂)

Baby has just turned 1 and I'm keeping him parent facing in his big pram as long as possible 🤣 he definitely prefers it for a longer walk atm. Gets a bit whingy in his buggy if he can't see you eventually 🤣

Anyone have any advice on leaving a teddy or a comforter with a 16 month old?
I'm willing to try anything to help little one sleep. I've had a little blanket next to me most of the day & I've got a teddy of mine from when I was little so it smells of me.
She's going through separation anxiety & it is me she wants, which led to being awake until 4am last night because she wouldn't sleep unless I was next to her & she wanted to see me & hold my hand (cried if I let go & was inconsolable when hubby took over). I'm hoping something that smells of me might help a bit

I started including a bunny in the bedtime routine with my daughter at a similar age and she started to fall asleep cuddling it but it never became her go to for comfoet. She ended up really attached to a toy she got given for her 2nd birthday and that became (and still is) her comfort toy
It's definitely worth a shot though!

Mine is 3 months old and he’s been in a lay flat-forward facing pushchair since he was 8 weeks old purely because I absolutely hated our travel system! He’s not sat up in it yet because he hasn’t got full head control however he is laid completely flat and the buggy is from 0y+.
I used the travel system with my first for a long time and started forward facing her around 6 months ish, and she was out of the carry cot at around 4 months! Again got a buggy when she was around 9m as they’re just easier and more lightweight imo!

My little one is 16 months and he’s has a comforter in with him for a while now, maybe around 10 months. We follow all of the safe sleeping guidelines apart from this one, he won’t sleep without it now! We have 3 of the same comforter for emergencies 😅

Baby chat is 16 weeks and every feed has been a fight for the past few days. I get stressed by it as I worry he’s not getting enough milk 😩 I’ve tried feeding him in different locations round the house, keeping noise to a minimum, gently singing to him etc.
I’ve been reading about the 4 month leap / sleep regression from the wonder weeks app so think it’s linked to that. But still, doesn’t make it any easier ☹️

I posted a few days ago that I was having the same problem with my 17 week old. The few days I’ve propped them up at an angle between two cushions on the couch and they’ve drained the whole thing! Just thought I’d share in case it helps. I’m not purporting to have solved the problem entirely cause if there’s one thing I’ve learned about babies is that they will always find a way to change it up and keep us on our toes!

I hated our Cosatto so I got rid of it ASAP, I think around 8 months. We've got a Silver Cross Clic and a Thule Urban Glide 2 for running which are both world facing.

Does anyone have recommendations for play mats? We had a taf one but it got recalled so we’ve managed to get a refund but now have no mat 😭
