😂 I forgot to mention the worry about smuggling powder. I thought hot sealing individual bags but it’d look so dodgy 😂

Unfortunalty baby wouldn’t take pre made last 2 times I’ve tried. They used to have Kendamil pre-made and that was cow and gate so I could try the Kenda again.
We use Aldi formula but as it’s so little I thought I’d be ok to switch to aptamil but that might be a risk too.

I just reallllyyy don’t want to pay £140 for a suitcase on principle, it’s £59 even for a carry-on 😖

Quite an expense and waste but could you do a click and collect for a tin of formula and then leave what you don't use?

I'm too scared to travel overseas with my kids so I have literally no useful advice 😂

I’ve heard that the Aldi formula is basically aptamil / made in the same place so from that perspective you shouuuuuld be ok but then babies do whatever the hell they want so don’t quote me on that 🤣 but I agree I wouldn’t be paying for a case if I didn’t have to 🤣🤣

Has anyone tried formula tabs?
We’re going on holiday with hand luggage only so every bit of space is needed and those containers take quite a lot. Baby only has one bottle a day so I don’t need a full tub from the airport like I will for nappies/toiletries. But does it need to be free flowing when packed? Would a ziplock be ok if I use boiling water to make it up? If it gets squashed I’m worried it’ll be too compacted to measure properly?
I’m totally overthinking but a novice at all this.
Can you fill up some formula pots?

I am *90%* certain I've seen my NCT friends use ziplock bags for their formula out and about. There's the little Tommee Tippee Milk Powder Bottles that you could have a look into? We inherited a couple but never used them, they seem incredibly secure. You could then measure out a portion per day and put them all in a ziplock.

If baby is only on one a day is it not possible to replace that with cows milk or presumably you're pumping/BFing for other feeds - would it be easier to just do that?

Has anyone any experience with the toniebox or yoto box?

Just cross posting from reply to a similar Q on the toddler thread!

I've only used Tonies but the Yoto sounds really good too!
Our oldest got his for his first bday and is 3 in Jan, it's been used literally every single day. My newborn also has one that I play white noise and lullabies on at bedtime 😂
for the newborn we got the sheep night light and really like it and i personally like the lullabies it plays they're dead relaxing

Thanks @WeepingCassandra and @fudgebox i just wanted to avoid the containers as they’re bulky.
We literally have a largeish rucksack each for a week plus airport purchases. I think buying a tub at the airport is the answer.
Clothes, meds, floaties are fine but i’m struggling with akward shaped pots, toys, headphones, chargers basically anything I can’t squash or vac pac suddenly taking loads of space 😂

I could ditch the bottle and rely on boob but baby is already so attached to only me I want to keep the bottle refusual at bay.

I should add first time we went with a 9 month old we took 2 x 20kg cases full to bursting. Only now I know what we’ll actually use and what’s there we can get away with very little.

Are you taking a pram or car seat? Can you get a carry bag for that and stuff a few extra bits in there?
