Tomorrow morning I’ll take photos of the motions to do in my baby massage leaflet for you! But you trace a circle on your baby’s foot in a clockwise motion (we sing Round and Round the Garden Like a Teddy Bear while doing this one), and then there’s a pressure point on the ball of the foot sort of straight down from between the big toe and second toe and you put your thumb/finger there and press down and rotate in a clockwise motion. I hope those descriptions make sense, once I dig out my leaflet tomorrow and there are images hopefully it’ll help explain what I mean a bit more.
Amazing thank you! He’d not been for 4 days which is unlike him then when he did finally 💩 yesterday it wasn’t 4 days worth 🤣 and he’s still not been today and getting rather grouchy 😬

Thank you! I know everyone keeps saying he will do it in his own time, he is pretty chilled just think he cba to walk when he can bum shuffle everywhere 😂 it is so cute haha but he is ruining all his shorts and trousers haha literally ripping the bums of them!! 🤣
---

Love calling him boddler too haha when I say baby I think can I refer to him as that anymore 😂 I am going to be that mum ‘ahhh how olds your baby’ ‘17’ 🤣🤣🤣 eeeek how exciting so will you have 2 under 2?! I’m not sure I could do it I always thought I wanted a close age gap but now I’m not so sure 🥲

yes they’ll always be our babies 😂

I guess so 😅 he will have just turned 2 .. nervous but excited. I’m sure it will be okay! I wouldn’t want 2 right this second but I’m sure he will be very different in 6 months time !

Here you go! So with thumb over thumb we call it windscreen wipers and basically with your right thumb go from bottom left of the foot to top right and then with your left thumb go from bottom of the foot to top left on the diagonal.

Toe roll - pinch the toe in between your thumb and finger and sort of wriggle the toe between your thumbs like a caterpillar motion until you get to the end of the toe then do a caterpillar pinch (this one is nice to do but when you reach that stage also apparently helps with teething pain. I don’t know how it works lol)

Under toes and ball of foot - is the round and round the garden like a teddy bear one I mentioned above

Thumb press - the one I mentioned above where you put the thumb on the little indent bit on the ball of the foot and rotate in a clockwise motion.

Top of the foot - like the thumb over thumb windscreen wiper one just on the top of the foot instead of the bottom.

I did this every day last week and oh my god he never pooped so much in his life so hopefully it has the same results for you!

Baby girl skinny is now 6 months (last week). The time has flown. She’s definitely not skinny and has chonked up nicely !

Highs:
All the smiles - especially those first smiles when I look over the cot in the morning when she wakes up and is happy to see you 🥰
All her babbling and chatting - even the excited screams 😂
Weaning - loving trying her with new foods and seeing her enjoy them.
She’s developed that shy snuggle into my shoulder when she is being spoken to by someone she doesn’t know. So cute.
Sitting up on her own - so much easier now she can balance as she was so desperate to be sat up not lay down but couldn’t hold herself up so it was exhausting!

Lows:
Not many at this stage tbh!
she had nappy rash for the first time lately and that was difficult but luckily didn’t seem too painful for her
She has developed the frustrated cry when you take something off her 🙄 especially something she’s enjoying chewing that she shouldn’t be!

Anyone that started their baby on solids before 6 months, is there anything that you need to actually wait til 6 months for them to have? Everything i see says 6 months on it but weve started at 21 weeks. Shes has broccoli, carrots and butternut squash so far and baby rice and im just wondering outside of fruit etc like is yogurt and stuff ok?

I think anything is fine, it’s just the texture needs to be completely smooth to begin with! Obviously just take care with possible allergens.

I chanced on with yoghurt and eggs etc but just made sure I gave them on separate days as they're allergens

Thank you and @Burrito88
I have given the her the same thing for a few days to make sure they are agreeing with her so will chance a yogurt i think 🥰
My fella loves the glenisk natural ones, picked them up last week and when my hubby did the shopping this week the shelf is wipped it's very annoying. He is loving the yoghurt though , it's such a big step the weaning isn't it

Such a big step i feel like shes not a baby anymore 😭

My fella turned six months today and I said I suppose I can't call you a newborn anymore. He's still in some 0-3 clothes so he's small so I'm like holding onto it.... It just goes past so quickly so soaking up all the moments !!
Awh see i feel like ive been robbed of that cause she was big so we are in 6 to 9 month babygrows 😅 i feel like i never got the small small baby cuddles if that makes sense?
Hope you're on the mend too!!

Hi everyone,
I always used to follow this thread but since going back to work 7 weeks ago I haven’t even had chance to look 🤯
Life is so busy, and such a juggle with work, house and 2 children!!
Anyway, after 7 weeks at nursery, baby has caught his first “bug”! I jinxed it the other day by saying we haven’t caught anything yet!
There have been confirmed cases of Hand Foot & Mouth in the nursery and baby has a high temperature and is just “off”.
He has spots, a couple on hands and feet but they’re randomly in other places over the body - armpits, torso, etc.
This is making me wonder if it is HF&M??
Has anyone experienced it? What was it like for your little one? Any advice welcome! X

Ahh sounds like you’ve been up the wall! Baby burrito hasn’t had it yet but this page is really useful: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/rashes-babies-and-children/
Hope he’s on the mend soon x

Did anyone find their baby got some relief from silent reflux using infant gaviscon? I’m going to talk to my Gp about it next week but I know they will try to fob me off with trying different formula or something like that so want to go in prepared. I know it doesn’t need a prescription but baby is only 4 months old and box says to have not take under guidance of a doctor. Baby is on a comfort formula which has definitely helped with the gassiness but seems to still be really struggling when laying flat.

Hey we found it ok but we found omeprazole a lot better. Gaviscon was making him constipated.
