My Frugal year / Clare Seal

1
Why is she surprised that people are giving her realities when she’s bragging about being able to save £400 a month and NEEDS to do this. Most people cannot afford to save anywhere near this, so why is she playing the woe is me card when someone says they can’t afford £10.

She’s forgotten most of her followers are there because she was frugal, she’s going to alienate a lot of people now- either intentionally or unintentionally- but she’s out of touch with the world.

Clare still moaning about people commenting on the weird things she says or does.

She needs those eyeballs and engagement to earn money. Your social media is a busines, we’re not your friends. If you don’t want the opinions of strangers then don’t broadcast to the world.
When she’s had a fleeting moment of self awareness she’s admitted herself that she doesn’t take criticism well. Clearly she’s forgotten and for some reason thinks this rando’s lukewarm take is some kind of mic drop.

it isn’t. It just comes across as someone else who thinks they just can say whatever they want on an internet platform and nobody should dare disagree or point out they’ve said something incorrect.

She needs cancelling from the internet for the goodness of her own mental health! Just log out Clare and don’t look back

Why does she moan about the school holidays so much? Yes its a juggle even harder if you don't have a village, but holidays are no suprise parents prepare for them and make plans. Holiday clubs, shared leave etc. She makes out that shes a self employed brain surgeon or something and that her work isn't flexible and that her kids are such a burden to her.... Well the boys at least.

I’m self employed, so currently my husband’s working during normal working hours because he has to, then he takes over on an evening and I work then. Between that and catching up on emails, etc during the day when I get a few minutes it balances out. It’s not easy, but we’re lucky to have that flexibility. And that’s with the added workload that comes with a disabled child. You know about the holidays from the off, they’re not a new thing 🤷🏼‍♀️

Her points about the difficulty of childcare might be good if a) she had any tips b) we didn’t know she’s self employed so decides her own working hours, basically and c) wasn’t so bleeping WHINY. It’s only been school holidays for a week! She works at home! God almighty. She needs to start arranging her work around the school holidays, she has the flexibility. That’s just life. Use the £400 a month you’re saving every month and send them to holiday camps! Both of you take annual leave at different times! You’ll work it out if you stop complaining.

Why is she still going on about the 'broken infrastructure of UK childcare' when talking about the 6 weeks summer holidays?

She is self employed - none of it is relevant to her. She can work as much or as little as she wants. Most self employed parents I know of are self employed for the main purpose that they can be flexible over the school holidays.

She chose to have 3 children, shes known that 6 weeks holidays exist for what.... All her adult life?!

She's making out that hee children are such a burden.

YES, ALL OF THIS!

Why does she never mention that you can used your HMRC tax free top-up account thingy for summer camps? Maybe their income is over £100k and they don't qualify so she doesn't know about it?

So over her whining about the school holidays. Most people have to work right through them, in a workplace, and juggle childcare somehow - she can just stop making posts or looking at her email for a few weeks, or work in the evenings at home. I wonder if she thinks all her complaining is relatable? It just makes her come across as really immature. All these moany parenting influencers need to be shot into the sun at this point - yes, bringing up kids can be bloody hard work, but it's not that hard, ffs! Especially as none of her kids have SEN as far as we know. UUuuuuggh.

Don't encourage her, she'll be pushing for an autism diagnosis most likely for one of the boys so she can justify her blatant distain for them 🙄
