I like to tell people our senator has been in politics since the Eisenhower administration because that really bring home how freaking old he is.

I would hesitate to vote for someone that age simply because I don't trust anyone who still wants to work in their 80s. Every day I'm scheming for a way to retire by the end of the week.
 
I’m going to sound like an old person, but remember when you didn’t discuss politics and religion. When I turn on a YT video, I don’t want to hear about politics from a random nobody (in the grand scheme of life).

This whole younger generation makes their whole being/identity about politics, and if you don’t agree with them, you’re a horrible person.

People can have differing opinions about politics and be good people. This whole “us against them” thinking is more toxic than anything else in the world. Molly kinda crossed that line.

Yeah - I agree with how he handled Covid, and he apologized for the monumental duck up of ruining our children's futures, the economy, but this 'I'm like Trump! strong man! anti-everything!' schtick is NOT appealing to me or a lot of conservatives I know. He lost me with all this and I have always voted Republican except in 2016 and 2020. (I left the GOP in 2016!)

I don't go to vloggers to hear their political opinions or their vast assumptions about people who vote or think differently than they do. I know and love plenty of people on the left and the right. They are all good people. We disagree on things. That's fine. I HATE the attitude of 'if you disagree with me you hate XYZ and are evil and I must cut you out and ruin your life' thing that's so popular now.

I was watching a WhatCulture video on Star Trek the other day, when the host, Sean Ferrick, went off on a tangent/rant about the "current transgender genocide happening at the moment"

duck all the way off, start a video specific to that and people can choose to watch, rather than have it shoved down our throats

It's the same as getting religion shoehorned into things. I used to watch a few channels that I enjoyed. They went into the usual, as they got bigger, they became more annoying/clickbaity and ignoring what people tuned in for in the first place. And suddenly they were talking about, "Well, we prayed on whether to do this." and talking about being christian and how it helped them decide etc.
BTW, they were talking about moving, not whether to pull the plug on grandma.
If someone is religious, great for them, but don't start tossing it at me out of nowhere. If I'd heard them say this stuff in one of the first videos I'd watched, it would've been the last.
 
If a channel owner chooses to turn their channel into a platform from which they can preach their beliefs, it's up to them. I won't criticize except if they are harming others. Hopefully everyone has a mind and knows how to use it to think issues through and decide for themselves where they stand verses allowing those they admire to put their print upon their thoughts.

What the channel owner must realize is they are driving the product they created down a one way path of no return. Not everyone wants to go down that path and they will limit the audience.

Turns out she's not the girl boss she claims to be since that fluff piece mentioned that Max helped them come together. And she said their YouTube would remain family-friendly while their podcast and Discord and Patreon and Twitch and whatnot would be more adult. Funny how they keep rewriting history.

And now they come up with this amazing, totally original, brainless content on their own without consulting their discord first. It's clear to me they're lost with their brand. I know because I've been there.

I struggle with whether to spend time on this vid or not - the Trackers make everything look boring and I'm sure the sanctuary deserves a fighting chance.

That said, my video feed rolled right over to this MC video and I walked in on a poor Fenic fox fearing for its life in the back corner of a cage as it was surrounded by strangers. Displaying animals like that is not a sanctuary - that's a zoo. A sanctuary would have been sensitive to the fox's situation and not allowed it.
