No, but you’re right they do play on that. Another is community. When it’s used for someone to make money that’s where it lacks taste.
To me, all that comes across as “pay me to be your friend”.
Exactly this. The people paying think they are her friend and that they are supporting a friend, and probably have the fantasy that when they meet her she will take them on a personal tour of the parks, sharing the same jokes and Ursula fears. And I don't think they get it's a business they are supporting, and that the Molly you see is just a fake Youtube persona.

I don't see how anyone can think that by sending a complete stranger money they're then friends, but it does happen and probably too often.
Does Molly have these types as supporters, most likely yes, some but hardly all. Probably a small percent.
Has Molly encouraged this? Yes, simply by creating the Mammoth CLUB culture she's indicated that they all have a connection. This can be tricky for her, Alan and Max to navigate in the long term.

Are we seeing a fake Molly on screen? I argue NO. What we see on YouTube is a Disney-fied version of Molly and gang in videos as children and the parks are watching there. It's not fake though, just edited/filtered. Molly's personality is one that gets excited by facts and enjoys games. She also complains about crowds, wait times, the systems and rain/water rides.

If you watch her on the livestreams you get the real-feel for who Molly is. She doesn't hide much other than their expense statements, family and other aspects of their personal lives that do not need to be out there. Swears are used appropriately on Twitch streams and Molly is not all cheery all of the time. Don't see how anyone can say she's faking it if they watch these.

I've never had much interest in Twitch as any time I looked at it, the vibe was internet from 15 years ago. But I think she's putting on as much of a persona in the streams as in videos, because that's the persona the people on that stream will respond to better.

Except you don’t know the “real” Molly. Even on live stream/twitch/whatever, it’s still an onscreen personality. That’s how anyone can say she’s faking it.

I have no idea if she’s faking it or not; I think she’s a mix of extremely relatable and wildly irritating so 🤷🏼‍♀️. What I do know is I have no idea how anyone wants to spend their evening watching those three drink CapriSun.

Literally every person you see vlogging/hosting/game show hosting whatever is presenting a heightened and limited version of themselves. Nobody has that kind of energy all the time and nobody is always in a good mood/perky/happy/etc. In real life some people may find her irritating and some may really into her just like every other person in this world.

And yeah, I saw the Capri Sun post and was like “wow they’re really leaning into this ‘try every junk food with multiple flavors’” thing. They must be getting good view counts somewhere … maybe on the edited YouTube version if not in the original stream. Personally I think there’s only so much “Take a bite make a face” I can watch.

They're mid 30s. I can guarantee there is only so much their own bodies will take of this crap-food too. It will result in them never being able to eat any of the items again without stomach issues.

With Alan's talent for describing food and cooking they should instead use that time to show him cooking good food. Maybe recreating some of the Resort favorites they've tried over the years.

I asked Alan in a AMA when we could expect a cooking YouTube video from him and he said they didn’t have the right kind of equipment to do that sort of content justice. Although Molly did mention doing a live stream of him directing her and Max to cook without helping, which sounds hilarious to me.
I’d rather watch that than the capri sun. Funny that they use equipment as an excuse when convenient. When I’ve commented on bad video and sound quality, they say they can’t get a bigger and better camera because it would be too intrusive to other guests’ experiences. So they don’t have the equipment needed to do more cooking videos because what they have is only for the parks. Frankly, the real answer is that Alan just doesn’t have the time. I wonder when they will ever make enough for Alan to quit his job? If he can’t, is there a plan to bring on someone else (and perhaps new equipment) so they can continue to grow? They cite their jobs as the reason they can’t do more, so then why not hire a staff member to take the pressure off? I’m starting to think more about what other people have mentioned here before, which is that they don’t seem to be about building a long term presence and brand. Rather, it seems to be more of a short term cash grab where their content is being dictated by their patrons and discord chat. And inevitably, that’s going to get boring.

I've found myself bored of their videos lately and I'm not sure why.....

think their overall attitude has changed since they got all the Patreon supporters and they all come across arrogant now! Molly especially strangely

Alan is the most bearable one of them all and I agree that he'd be good at doing some cooking videos!

I don't buy into the intrusive camera stuff...... I think they're just greedy and want to keep as much of the Patreon money for themselves instead of bettering the quality of their videos

Does anyone watch Mouse Vibes? They just released their Christmas Day in Disneyland Paris video and it is a joy to watch! No arrogance, just straight up emotion and enthusiasm. They don’t get nearly enough viewers considering the time they’re putting into their content. I was impressed how quickly they got this up (Nick does the editing) as well as the quality. 5 vibes!!

They think the food challenges make them fun and relatable, offering some laughs.
Okay. Maybe a little but they're juvenile and reek of people who can't let go of their college dorm years.

They're adults with careers. Time to move on. Time to develop a future for the channel.

I agree except replace "greedy" with "lazy"
Molly will often say she's not technical, that's Alan's department.
There is no reason Molly cannot learn to upgrade equipment on her own. Despite the name we all know this is her channel, not Max's, Not Alan's. As such she needs to step up and start dictating what the channel needs and not wait for Alan or Max to approve and do it.

Upgrading the equipment is simply purchasing it. She could certainly do that on her own. Plenty of places will help with purchases. No reason not to have a good camera for at home/inside/livestream stuff. Well, except not wanting to spend money.

Food videos as described say to me, "We've committed to 3 videos/week. These will fill a bunch of slots." aka lazy.

I don’t get the “try every kind of this junk food” video. It seems so low effort. And how does it relate to the channel? Why not have a comparison of snacks at Disney/Universal to ones made at home like someone suggested.
I've mentioned it here before, it's a straight rip off of good mythical morning who do the same taste test video concept from time to time, and do it much better. Not coincidentally, Molly has mentioned GMM as one of the YouTubers she watches.

Long time Molly fan (thus my FiddleFaddle name from FP days) but I can honestly say her MC content has bored me to death and I have not sat and watched a video of her since sometime in October. I am still subscribed - and I look at what she posts - but none of the content has grabbed me.

And while I have defended her in the past - I adored her, I find the new vlogs stale repeats of past AE videos, and while I actually enjoy Alan, I find the the 3 of them sort of cringey in whatever "friendship" they have going on.

As for AllEars - I am one click away from unsubscribing altogether. It has become unbearable to watch. AJ needs to go back to the drawing board and find a new "main" host of the vlogs - none of who she has on board now can carry those vlogs or get the views.

We were fans until my poor interaction w/Molly. I don't get the "betting on myself, but here are two other people".

No matter the content or subjective quality, to me AllEars will never be as good as when Deb Wills owned it. I get they're going for as many views etc., so they think they need to cringe/clickbait. But to me there's no point in watching both DFB and AllEars as last time I did they were very similar except for whatever reason AJ won't show herself onscreen.

The Club has listened to us and posted a video on a brand new series of videos called... Molly's Favorite Things At The Disney Parks.

Today she talks about her favorite things in Animal Kingdom. Very unique and original content, things we haven't heard her say 200 times over the past few years, nevermind the past few months.

Doing the same tit and presenting it as a new idea is not only lazy but misleading to their followers who've been waiting for something new. They must think all of their viewers are idots if this is their vision of making new and interesting content. The scraps leftover at All Ears are making more creative content then Molly and Max right now.

Alan at least provides some different takes on videos. I think he might be their only hope to make something that's actually different then the boring videos they've rolled out the past few months. Just let him direct an out of the box idea and run with it.

I still have faith in the channel but doubt the following will be allowed on Discord.

Agree that Alan needs to take on a larger production role. He's got his feet planted on the ground whereas Molly seems to still be flying high on her large patreon support and forever-stuck-in-school club. I feel like she's not embracing what that support really means aside from popularity as judged by the start of the last stream. She needs to wake up and see that right now all this support is her opportunity to craft out the channel as resource for all age groups verses just what it has become: a fun but repetitive time filler. If she won't do it Alan needs to guide her. (I love his food reviews - maybe add a piece on how theme park food has changed over the years for better or worse.)

I very much appreciate her updates on Genie+ and she's getting better at showing how it is used. Those need to stay as is.

Finally got around to watching the Capris Sun challenge stream. It was just the exact same old thing that I'm not into. The only use that video would be to me were if I had to choose a capris sun in the store which ones to look for or avoid. Yes, we all knew Pacific Cooler would be at the top. Thinking back when I was Molly's age and younger for sure I would have been very invested in watching and being a part of the Mammoth Club. It's not a sustainable model though and has to change.

The other interesting thing I heard toward the end is that pre-Orange Bowl kickoff they will host another live stream challenging Molly and Max to cook up some snacks in the kitchen under the direction of Alan. That will be entertaining, and I will tune in for the game after as I'm invested in one team and adore the idea of it being the orange vs orange bowl. II expect Molly will have been drinking so ready for some off color conversation from her.

Well and as I pointed out before some of her “secrets” videos literally have her telling us the same anecdote over the same exact shot as presented in her AE videos. I also found myself wondering who she thinks these videos are for because as a longtime viewer who’d heard it all before, they certainly weren’t for me. It feels like they just want to keep doing what she was doing before at AE and make more money doing it.

Wait so isn’t Orange bowl today? Why haven’t they shared that they are doing this on any of their social? Instead it’s been stories full of Medieval Times spoiling the eventual video that will be released.

I have to laugh at her disdain for the entire Tattle forum. So many of the vloggers have a narrow-minded view of who is posting here and their motives. I know some here hate every single vlogger, but certainly not everyone does. I can't stand Jenn and Tim, but I actually like and follow some other vloggers that have threads here. So when vloggers blast Tattle on IG stories or live streams, I have to laugh because some of their IG followers and subscribers are over here as well, and not even really posting anything about them.

I think FreshBaked learned this lesson. He blasted Tattle once and regretted it (not many here were saying tit about him before that), then he decided to embrace Tattle, and a bunch of BLAB Tattle critics started coming to his lives and sending funny SuperChats. He was a good sport (plus made extra $) and said he realized he handled it all wrong originally.
