but when i tell u i HATE IT HEREEE

PLS DONT TELL ME THATS WHY PPL ARE UPSET.

PLEASE

I already hate it here (not tattle just our society)

Pleas don’t tell me ppl are pissed the sale was tit instead of the fact that a FREE sale is literally….. literally…. Capitalism dystopia. Their 99p ones were bad enough. I’m disgusted and might just give up entirely if that’s why ppl were kicking off and not bc of the sustainability etc
That's not even it though. As a brand, if you are advertising something it is your duty to give it. No one really gives a tit about cheap clothes, it's the principle of this massive multi-billion pound company taking the absolute piss out of their customers time and time again. Yeah fast fashion isn't great and wah wah wah, whatever, but some people NEED fast fashion and that's just the sad reality of it. People have every right to be annoyed, no matter how much something costs. Brands like PLT, BooHoo, Missguided etc pry off of customers not being able to afford any better and they know that's why people shop with them, it's nothing to do with quality.

Oh I agree it’s not good they took the piss out of their customers I guess when I saw on here Molly mae was trending bc of an PLT issue and I then saw some posts on insta relating the PLT sale to the fast fashion crisis (you know the pics of the landfill sites in chile etc) I just had higher hopes. I didn’t realise people were just pissed off bc they couldn’t take advantage of it.

also i do appreciate some can only afford fast fashion/cheaper clothing tbh I’m one of those people. however PLT sales of 99p or free isn’t NEEDED by us? it’s society’s obsession with fast fashion (see Molly literally making captions about wearing items more than once as if this is unheard of) that causes people to try and indulge in this, and then be upset when the clearly corrupt company doesn’t deliver. charity shops and depop/vinted exist. There’s literally no need to visit the PLT website for any reason even with the nuance of “some ppl can only afford fast fashion”. It is possible for us to wear the same clothes for a while without needing to constantly update our wardrobe via a blatant sweatshop like PLT. That’s why it was disappointing, same as when I saw influencers doing “wish list ahead of the PLT sale” ugh.

I guess my feelings are, the issue is with the industry and brands rather than consumers but consumers keep the brands alive and so it’s sad so many place a bargain item over ethics. Appreciate its blissful ignorance for many tho
