Yes, yes, so maybe 'intelligent in their own way' and 'emotional intelligence' whatever. They're just pretty ways of saying someone isn't academically intelligent, and really not that capable of analysis, critical thinking, information processing etc.

Analysis, critical thinking and information processing are skills which, as a teacher within early years, I use on a day to day basis. As do the early year workers within my establishment.
