Probably is not. Look I hate masks too but they aren’t going to ruin my life—I didn’t feel the need to burn one last summer when I basically didn’t need to wear one anywhere in the mid Atlantic area. The only people who hate masks THAT much to burn them are nut jobs, the type of nut jobs that won’t get vaccinated. His whole family seems off so I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re far-right or far-left politically.
Michael has sported "blue lives matter" apparel, that would seem to remove "far-left" from consideration.

I've had to wear one every day at work for almost two years. I don't think there's a person on this earth who hates them more than people who work in health care. But I don't have plans to burn mine whenever that distant day comes that I can take them off for good. I'll get my COVID tattoo and try to never think about the pandemic again.
And don’t forget his OBSESSION with American flags
And "ew, gross, gay people."

That is a very interesting aspect of Michael's personality disorder. He's always telling his audience how patriotic he is, but Michael is a habitual violator of 4 USC Section 8 which describes things which should not be done to the flag out of respect for the flag (and the country by extension). For instance, Michael should not: use the flag for clothing, wear the flag and sit down or go into the water, rub his ass or his genitals on the flag, sweat on the flag, fart on the flag, pee on the flag, or roll around with same sex siblings while wearing a flag. Would a patriot do the things Michael does to the flag as a matter of routine? I would say "no". https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/4/8

This isn't to say that patriotism is limited to a single party, except in totalitarian countries. But my experience is that many faux patriots like Michael tend to be right wing extremists. The J6 Insurrection, peopled by hundreds of right wing lunatics waving US and political flags, is an obvious example.

Places like “Peppa Pig” are going to continue to invite MK out because the guy is “family friendly” and actively tries in his videos even if the result is nauseating and repulsive to people like us.

When compared to Tim and Jenn’s video, there was a stark difference. Albeit, that’s not saying much.

The Disney vlogisphere as a whole has gotten worse since the pandemic. It’s oversaturated but is less interesting to watch overall. Why is that? What’s changed to make this transition happen? I don’t want to watch grown adults get drunk, act like stupid teenagers, and do unwanted karaoke on the monorail. That sadly speaks for the broader Disney vlogger community right now. That tit needs to stop.

The only ones I DO enjoy watching now are Adam Hattan and Jen Lefforge. It’s ironic to me that those two have become “friends”. Both are informative, can give decent travel advice, all while still being fun to watch. Makes me wonder if they see the issues within the Disney vlogger community and have bonded over it.

To get back on topic: The crash of MK’s channel has not been fun to watch though. Even finding out the juicy tidbits of his narcissistic pathological lying personality and family drama, there is a part of me that feels bad for the guy still. I don’t know why either.

Even though I found him strange back when he was a vacationer to WDW, I appreciated the love and enthusiasm he has for Disney. It made up for his oddities. But then, anyone that films themselves kind of needs odd as a pre-req. I just can’t blindly look past a grown ass man buying a shoulder puppet and acting like it’s real. It’s not normal. Then the repetitive phrasing when doing food reviews, the squealing… was he always this cringe?

sorry for the long post. I just need to talk through all this 😂

There are fewer words that describe Adam less to me than "decent" and "fun."
To each their own. I know there is a deep divide in regards to him. He can be a bit extra at times but the fact he knows what he’s talking about and has given me tips I wholeheartedly agree with on during my own vacations, I like him.

MK, Gin and Tonic, et al don’t even give me usable tips anymore. Their videos have become pointless.

I agree with you on both, Adam Hattan and Jen Lefforge. I've been a long-time watcher of Adam Hattan, and I know that he definitely has his haters and detractors, but I really enjoy his vlogging style. He makes me feel like I'm along for the day, and part of the crew. Jen is just A+. She is a no-BS, down to earth person, and I have no doubt that her vlogs are well researched.

Ignores Pride, forbids discussion of it.

What more do you need?

So he's made rules of it stating that discussions of it are forbidden and will result in bans? You're once again saying how you feel, and not what is real. This guy is an idiot, but he's not out there going to book burnings or hanging out with the Westboro Baptist Church or something like that.

If you have concrete proof that he's taken that approach, please share it. Not "Well he's not doing [insert action here]" Not looking for negatives or the lack there of. Looking for tangible proof/evidence where he said "I don't like X" or "This channel is no place for Y"

Heck, if you have proof of those things you could probably get media creds pulled. You could do something actionable with it. Instead so far it's been "Well....I think...." as opposed to "I know, because of [insert reason]"

You don’t have to be a part of westboro to be a bigot. We both agree he is an idiot but I think his actions at minimum show he’s pretty anti-science and anti-LGBTQ.

Are you gay? If not, please at least listen to @starri and myself.

Same. I appreciate that Adam actually tries to remember that he couldn’t do what he does without people watching and supporting his channel. Him thanking his viewers and acknowledging they are why he gets to do the things he does goes a long way for me. He has done this consistently over the years. His reaction to getting the room upgrade at the Yacht Club only made me like him more. I’d have cried too. He was grateful and overwhelmed; not obnoxious and entitled to freebies by throwing around his #status.

Of course I don’t know him in real life, but he comes across to me as relatable, down to earth, and someone I’d enjoy hanging out with. I also like the fact he doesn’t buy everything he sees and has realistic views on what is expensive vs. what’s not. “I see the price, I put it back”. He also tends to keep the same groups of friends which can’t be said for a lot of these vloggers.

Jenn Lefforge is my kind of people. No nonsense, practical, smart, tells it like it is, but knows that spending money in the right places will make your Disney experience better. I love her packing videos the most. She’s organized and doesn’t throw a bunch of unneeded crap into a suitcase. I don’t like people that don’t know how to pack a suitcase 😂😂

Back on topic: I’m very late to the Tattle party with MK. Been casually watching him since he still lived in MD, but only recently discovered this forum. It’s been eye opening to say the least. Reading MK’s dating style (or lack thereof) and how he acts behind the camera from DCDarling is nuts. Things I never knew I wanted to know but also not know at the same time LOL. I also had no clue about the insanity inside his Patreon group. Holy hell we are begging to be hit by an asteroid. Why people pay hard earned money for his content blows my mind as it is. And he has a restraining order against his dad? 😱 Do we know why exactly? It seemed like not that long ago they were buddy buddy.

👏👏👏 Completely agree with all of this 🤗

I can appreciate you bringing tangible reason into the discussion. To his credit, he’s not made any Jenn and Tim Tracker level offensive comments towards minority groups, but it’s clear when you look closer he’s not the wholesome, inclusive individual he portrays by what he doesn’t say.

One would him getting caught lying about his vaccination status and video proof of him going massless around Disney when he wasn’t eligible is not ok.

I also immediately think of him receiving what was clearly a Pride Stitch shirt from a viewer and awkwardly calling it “Rainbow Connection Stitch” and avoiding ALL mention of the word “Pride”. A child would have known it was a Pride shirt. The thing that gets me with this shirt moment is he could have totally cut that shirt out of the video and it wouldn’t have mattered. No one would have known. Instead he made a point of overlooking a shirt very clearly meant to support the LGBTQ+ community. It’s a small thing, but also it isn’t. This is another example of what he said without saying anything. Will it convince him in court for being anti-gay? No, but at the very least it proves he’s not in favor of non-heterosexual relationships.

MK is a lost little boy, but he’s as vindictive as a seasoned politician.

And add the "don't talk about orientation" thing. If you don't feel that's enough to convict him in a court of law, fine. But he doesn't get a presumption of innocence either. Sorry.

I totally agree. I very much prefer the "average joe" vacation vlog to Disney rather than the same old thing day in day out with these daily Disney vloggers.

When Michael was in Starbucks (without a mask) he did say, "If you are not vaccinated you are expected to continue to wear your mask indoors, very very important". Is this his way of letting us know that he finally got vaccinated?
