So, Michael’s finally engaging with his viewers….. but is he? Besides the first one, because of the smug “In case you missed it,” I feel like the rest of the replies from “Journey Together” reek of Dave. Maybe the “Together” means me and my weird ass brother. Maybe the good doctor was like, “Fine, keep doing it, but I’m not gonna be on camera, and, maybe it’s for the best if you’rer not on camera either, also, Dave should not be on camera, like, ever… like any camera or any microphone. Ever. Maybe he could just, I don’t know, do something behind the scenes, like, respond to comments?”

Mike: “You’re supposed to respond to YouTube comments? Good to knooooowww!”

Hahahaha. Just realized I added a screenshot of one of @Claude4’s comments in there because I had saved it to show my wife. I’m leaving it in there

No doubt the new name and format are an attempt to keep his tarnished image from further impacting his channel. Good luck with that Mike. There was a huge built in fan base for Disney content, not so much for random clips and b roll with a voiceover from an inexperienced know it all trying to act like he’s some kind of travel pro.

What absolutely sends me is that even if he really did have something to offer as a source of travel information (he doesn’t), he is going about it in the LEAST interesting way possible. He said he wants his channel to be an example for people of all the fun places they can go and things they can do that they “might not have considered.” First of all, Mike, just because YOU have never before considered leaving the Orlando metro area by any method except Disney cruise ship, doesn’t mean no one else has. Second, who does he think is sitting at home thinking, “where shall I go on vacation?” and then searching YouTube for “things to do on vacation,” stumbling upon his absolutely anemic Dominican Republic cliff jumping video, watching the entire thing, and then saying “thanks Michael, I was really stumped but this video helped me out!”
Delusional.

So Michael posts yet another boring voiceover video, this time at the Night of a Million Lights event for Give Kids the World. Has to mention he was invited because we all know this makes him feel important and he wouldn’t have bothered coming if he wasn’t.

At 0:46 he mentions the event is being held near one his favorite restaurants “Chuy’s…or Tex-Mex”. Dude, Tex-Mex is a type of cuisine, it isn’t some term exclusive to Chuy’s. How can you be so dumb? Not to mention, I’d wager this is probably the only Mexican or Tex-Mex style restaurant he has even been to since becoming a Florida Resident (c). I remember Dave making him go there for the first time and he felt weird about it because it was off Disney property. I wanna say this is also the restaurant where he wore a balloon hat the whole time once. And not in a “I’m three margaritas deep, let’s go!!” type of way, more of a “I wish I were still 5!” kind of way.

Also, he uploaded this video today, 12/31 and according to the website, this event runs through….1/1. Gee, thanks. This is essentially a vlog of his time there with a voiceover instead of real time narration. We didn’t “journey together”, you didn’t help me find somewhere off the beaten path I may want to visit, and even if I did it only runs through tomorrow. What is helpful or educational about this?

That's very Trackeresque in getting something time sensitive up.
