I think Mia has helped enough by employing Luca in a lucrative role since the age of 18 with zero experience or Uni degree

Agree - but if she’s been happy to prop him up with a career seems it would be a departure to not prop them up with housing help rather than just letting them fend for themselves in the mental Sydney market

I don’t believe a word of that. All trying to avoid nepo baby optics. What is the age gap of Jessie and Luca anyway?

7 years I think - he is 25 she is 32

Luca will 100% have a trust fund. The money isn’t from Mia either, Mia’s father is worth hundreds of millions, let alone whatever Mamamia is worth. I don’t think they will work long term. Sounds mean, but he’s very young and was very very young when they got together. A lot changes between 25-35 or 40. I hope he’s got a decent BFA.

I really can’t get on board with anyone over the age of 25 growing up likely on birth control and seemingly having an understanding of how babies come about having “accidents”. You are trying for a baby / seeing how long it will take to conceive.
This! People who say it was an accident are just trying to play down that they actually wanted a baby. If you are using birth control, it very rarely is not effective. It would be better for them to be honest and say we were both ready for children and wanted to start now. Lying just makes people think that accidents are regular and normal.

I do find it odd that Jessie & Luca aren’t apparently getting any help from Mia & Jason to buy their first home. Mia is absolutely loaded, surely they could help?

Lol the family always pretends they are down to earth to try to get readers to not realise the sheer wealth and power of the family. Of course they will help and then we will never really see pictures that truely display where the house is or what it looks like. There is no way two people this age have saved the 300k -400k they would need to have to be entering the Sydney housing market anyway

Laurence Freedman, 71, was a pioneer of the investment management industry in this country. In 1980, he co-founded EquitiLink Limited, which grew into a global company with $3 billion under management. Mia, his only child, is extremely proud of him, especially as he had nothing when he arrived in Australia, age 22, with his parents from South Africa. When I suggest that, thanks to the fortune Laurence made, she and her half-brother, Michael Kotowicz (her mother Kathy's son from a previous marriage) must have grown up in an extremely affluent household, she says: "No, absolutely not. His business didn't become successful until I was in high school. So we were middle-class but not upper-middle class."

I have noticed this as well. It’s very much to seem of the people. Every now and then they slip up and say things that let on that they are definitely wealthy. Even Jessie commenting last week about her wedding planner when previously she would have put sh*t on the idea of having a wedding planner. Nothing against wedding planners they are great! But we know that Jessie 5 years ago would have rolled her eyes at having a planner.

Exactly. The wedding planner and meetings thing. I laughed out loud

I noticed that too - I don’t know anyone who had a wedding planner and I’ve been to a lot of weddings
I had a wedding assistant for the week of my wedding and it was very useful and helped with stress in the days prior to the wedding. But I am also not judging people who do hire wedding planners. It’s really the hypocrisy of both Mia and Jessie previously sh*tting on people who hire wedding planners or who plan big weddings and now that it’s her beloveds that are doing it, it is fine?? And also now Jessie is getting two dresses. Again I love people who have multiple dresses but she absolutely would have made fun of people who did this in prior years but now that it’s her wedding, the same rules don’t apply?

She had been banging on for years about how she wanted a baby but Luca is much younger than her and apparently not as keen for a baby yet, so I’m guessing the ‘accident’ was on purpose . Not very ‘strong female’ energy if that’s the case but I guess we will never know.

Luca is my son’s age and he would run screaming for the hills if anyone he was dating said they wanted a baby.
I wish them a lot of luck.
Even if both of a couple are absolutely overjoyed with the idea of a new baby the reality is so so different from romantic daydreams.

What kind of message is this sending? Mamamia only let's us have lunch if it makes them money?
