They’ve made it way worse with outloud today. Going on about how Sally Rugg is paid so much ($160k odd. Not that much really) so should expect to work such long hours. Shocking in 2023. Makes me think MM pays pretty poorly.
I would love to know how much they make at MM - I bet it's below average. It was a shocking discussion about Sally Rugg and the MMOL group seems to agree with me - all sorts of comments about MM being a terrible employer. MM employers seem to think it's a great place to work because it's a female led organisation and they get flexibility but little do they know that most companies now have flexible hours, WFH but still pay well. I would not ever want to work for that company.

Popping in for my three monthly rant that it is a well known and established truth that Mammamia is a terrible place to work. A toxic culture of mean girl behaviour, woeful underpayment, and a strange Stockholm syndrome where Mia perpetuates a great white hope that if you stick around there for years getting paid peanuts, giving your best creative years to the company, one day you too could be Mia - a girlboss champion with an empire built on exploitation. Sadly most of the staff there work out too late that when they’re still being treated like glorified interns well into their 30s, they’re already miles behind Mia’s career trajectory.

Mia is Teflon! Everyone in media knows this but the juggernaut keep on going.

Same! Holly mentioned the rising cost of living affecting them last month on MMOL so I feel like she isn’t that well paid

OMG YES I HEARD THIS AND NEARLY FELL ON THE FLOOR
it was said so seriously too
what a bleeping echo chamber that place is!
That’s hilarious. D list at best. She said today she’s only 25 weeks. Longest pregnancy ever
I’m 20 weeks pregnant so my pregnancy is slightly behind hers but I have to say she has been less insufferable the last couple of weeks. Hope it continues!!

So I’m betting Mia will be utilising this baby to get her new listeners and make them more “relatable”. Jessie’s Mat leave homework will be posting about the hardships of motherhood on her stories and building a new audience up just in time to return to work and start the first ever ‘podcast for working moms’ …I can see it now!

Disagree
These last few weeks she’s been showing off the pregnancy and nursery freebies she’s finally receiving. And saying she’ll have the most perfect birth ever. Her pursuit of perfection is worrying. It’s a recipe for PND.

I don’t follow her in socials so haven’t seen much but I’m not surprised! I only listen to the podcast and for me it seems to be less of a focus.

Wait, did you mean that Jessie is 25 weeks pregnant?
Yes she is

Did anyone see this on Laurenlately’s stories?!
