They had quite a few of the sandwich platters half price earlier. £16 for some sandwiches is steep!
I got the yum yum dessert on yellow sticker and the palmiers. It was just bonkers though, so busy!

I can't work out if this is going to be amazing or vile 😅 It's brie with caramelised sugar on top, and then you drizzle it with hot honey.

£7.25 is extortionate, but it's Christmas, so money isn't a real concept to me until January 1st, where I'll regret at least 50% of the previous week's spending 🤣

Went in at 8:30 this morning so wasn’t too busy 😅 got the best ever Yule log which is the reason I went in. They were all dated for the 25th, it’s our Christmas Day pud and there’s only three of us so it’s going to last us for days but hopefully it won’t go off straight away.

Since I was there I caved to my sparks offers and also picked up mince pies, iced fruit cake and Christmas percies. Then also some Cornish cruncher for Christmas and my last Christmas club sandwich and gingerbread milkshake for the year!

Well I say my last, I might go in Christmas Eve yellow sticker hunting 😂

I know munch is so last year 😂 but I’m desperate to get my mitts on some merry munch for Christmas Day snacking! So far I’ve tried my 3 closest M&S stores, and I’ve tasked family who live further away to keep their eyes out… with no luck! One of the stores said “we sold out weeks ago”, seems so strange to me they wouldn’t have had a restock! And the app is no help as it said it was in stock in all 3 stores 😕

I'm planning to go to my local store when it opens at 6am on Monday after getting the rest of the fresh bits at Asda. Can't decide what desert to get, either the best ever Yule log or the passion fruit and white chocolate one. I also like the look of the cabin cake too.

I like the look of the cabin cake too! Or the gingerbread cheesecake. Part of my brain wants to get both but the rational side is saying no because there are only two of us and we don't need 2 big desserts. Or do we..? 🤔😅

I enjoyed it! The sugar and honey just come in Iittle sachets though so you can definitely DIY it for much cheaper!! (I don’t know what I was expecting to be fair but it felt like a bit of a letdown)

All their party food has gone mental cost wise these days upwards to 7 to 12 quid for about 4 items in a box. Im just ranting cos we used to do picky bits a few times over the season and even the astronomically priced Tesco are a let down. They used to be the old standby especially the garlic mushrooms but in the last couple of yrs even visits to the smaller superstores have shown that they barely have any of the vegetarian options anymore. Everything has meat or fish in etc. we used to get Halloumi fingers, jalepeno poppers, chinese selection, indian selection and the aforementioned mushrooms

sniggering here at all you non xmas pudding lovers who have to scramble.. I've had my dessert for weeks :)

If the Ocado gods shine on me I’ll be getting the Cavapoo cake delivered in my Christmas order for pudding Christmas Day. We always have the pud several hours later, after the dinner food coma has abated. I’ve still got to pick up the M&S meat order Monday, so I’ll probably end up buying loads of unnecessary stuff while I’m there.

I've also noticed the lack of vegetarian/plant based options this year! We had friends over a couple of nights ago who are veggie, and I like to do a mini buffet of vegetarian party food bits when they come over this time of year, but found it hard to find a decent selection over 3 different supermarkets!

I still hate that M&S removed the plant based section! It makes zero sense why they would put the vegan alternative of items with the meat version 🤷‍♀️ Makes it so much harder for me to find what I'm looking for, and usually end up going to Sainsbury's instead 😅

I’ve had the exact same problem. Been to 4 different stores and refill bags to be seen. They haven’t even got the tins left. I’ve been looking for a couple of weeks too so just have sold out early!

I feel I say duck it it’s Christmas earlier every year. My bank account and waist line both wish I didn’t

I thought it was just my Marks as I dont really go anywhere else now i'm not working.. I actually phoned the customer service and complained (not veggy myself but mostly plaet based for want of a descriptor) I actually prefer the Plant Kitchen range chicken goujons and also eat a lot of that range. I noticed in mine they took most of the veggy n vegan stuff off sale aside from a few boxes of Kievs and large "meat" pies. The Free From Gluten Free section of the chiller cabinets remained and even got larger.

I said I am sorry and I genuinely am for ppl who have to eat gluten free or special diets/allergies etc but surely there are way more vegetarian and vegan customers than gluten free ( thats if you are genuinely celiac raher than all those avoiding wheat etc) Customer service said i had a good point but nothing was done..
