Tried the Aldi dupe and it was 99% popcorn, disappointed. Sorry M&S I will never cheat on you again

Mixed day at M&S. I was there at 8am (opening time) to pick up a coat on click and collect I’d ordered before work. My store previously had Gingerbread cookies, but every bag I’ve ever managed to get I’ve had to go in early for! But today, no cookies and label gone. Sooo upset. Grabbed an oat, cranberry and pumpkin muffin instead cos they are usually so good but this one was cold and frozen solid in the middle!! On the positive, bought the surf and turf rolls and had them for lunch and they were SO good. Will buy again. And the Christmas sourdough is so yummy, glad it’s back!

M&S sent me a survey about the mindset of their customers and I thought I'd fill it out to complain about the gingerbread cookies disappearing 😅

One of the questions they've asked is about what you do to make your food spend go further, and then given a bunch of different statements for you to agree/disagree on

I can't find the "only scan when given a freebie" option... 🤔🤣 Also, what points are we supposed to be collecting on our Sparks "loyalty" card? 🤣

Is it purely for M&S or are they asking about in general as I expect the vast majority of M&S shoppers go elsewhere as well.

I had to collect an order last night so had a still to the bakery counter. Woman there confirmed the ginger cookies are a distant memory, they’ve ran out of dough. I did ask why they couldn’t just make more since it’s a fresh product but it’s not that easy apparently 😂 went on to Sainsbury’s and managed to bag some of their ginger cookies, sorry lads am not getting the hype at all and I usually love ginger

The Sainsbury’s ones are awful. Not gingery at all, just doughy and over sweet.
I managed to get one bag of the M&S ones and they were vastly superior. I don’t understand why they can’t just make more too. They’re always bringing out new items. A new flavour of cookie can’t be that difficult surely?
ill have to find a recipe and make my own

I agree, I thought the Sainsburys ones were awful, the M&S ones were on another level. I find all Sainsburys Cookies too sweet, the only ones I ever really liked were the Coconut and Chocolate ones which they discontinued.

I think they had bakewell ones that were nice. Battenberg, bakewell anything like that is next level.

Marks don’t sell battenberg anymore which is sad. I’m sad because I’m ill AF and even my pumpkin spice nespresso tastes rank. I’m craving nice nutritious stuff but there’s nothing in the shops like that (which marks normally does well) and I cook like Jack Monroe so if I attempted to make anything, I’d be even more ill.

The You Tube algorithm has given me this:

Described as crunchy on the outside and gooey in the middle. Where's the ginger?🤷‍♀️🙄
